I only know when I got my letter last year. The week of July 4.

With a 4.0 your chances of getting in are excellent. The teas is only 30% of you getting in the GPA is the other 70% most of our teas scores were in the high 70 low 80 range.

there is one thing many people dont realize about the ADN program. There are 30-35 slots, but half of those slots go to people who applied the year before and were not accepted so lets say 30 slots. the first 15 go to people who applied last year and didn't make it so if that is you you have an increased chance, if that is not you you are competing for 15ish slots. Most of the current class had above a 3.75 with teas in the 80's or higher. I had a 4.0 without transfer classes, a 3.85 if they calculated transfer classes. I had a 92 on the teas and it was my first time applying. I got my letter of acceptance just after fourth of July. Some people got their letters in early June but it appeared those who were in the group that it was their first year applying were not notified until July last time.

I went to terry Richardson and picked up a packet with the health stuff... Drug test, titers, vaccines etc. it is in building 100.

I called the college. I got in! I won't be home to see the letter until next week, Monday I hope. Can anyone give me the gist of what it said? Who we contact to accept the spot and how etc. I'd very much appreciate it.

Tripsmom mind if I ask what your gpa/teas are? and did anyone get a phone call or was it just letters.

I am not at home to check my mail until next week. When do you guys have to reply by? We all have very similar stats so I have my fingers crossed!

To be first round you have to have your classes finished by December... Doesn't matter when you apply so long as you make the deadline... 2nd just means your classes were not done tell spring. 1st round is usually noticed by first/second week of June from what I could tell.

So you know how she was told? I was told it may be a letter and you have 10 days to reply to the letter and accept the spot.... But I am visiting family for two weeks in July so if the letter is Mailed at a bad time I might not be in the 1 day window.

I've rather given up I have not heard of anyone else being accepted for at least two weeks now.... Have you guys?

3.75 pre req w/ transfer classes 4.0 if they don't calculate transfer classes 91.3 on teas.

I have not but I have heard of some who have. What are your stats? Melissa burch said to wait and see and ranking was still ungoing.... But it was done by around this time last year. But other years lasted through July....

They said they were Applying for national accredation but I can't find any proof of that.... I do know it takes a few years before they can be nationally accredited and that it can be hard to get bachelors if not nationally accredited.

I just found out what 1st/2nd ranking means.... First ranking is done in February and is if your classes are done in December and they get the first 17 slots then everyone from first ranking that didn't make it in is put into second ranking and those are ranked for the last 17 slots so it is highly possible people with Lower gpa than you or I get in due to being in first ranking...

I was a member of phi about 15 years ago when I got my first aa degree. I was told if you are a member it is for life by the local chapter but never Pursued it..... I always doing something else..... 2 kids and hubby is military.... Every day without finding out makes me more bla...... Do you know If the send rejection letters at all or just acceptance letters? It looks like just about everyone knew by June 22 last year Mostly between the 9-15th if you go through the thread from last year.

It is discouraging... Looking at last years posts we would have both got in easily. I don't really understand this second ranking first ranking thing. I thought it was just 70% gpa, 30% teas who ever was the highest? So this isn't true? How does it all work then? Seems quite unfair of someone with a lower gpa got in over someone with better stats just based on having their pre reqs done earlier (I am guessing that's what puts you in one ranking vs the other?) .... Some people got letters 2 weeks ago! Def not as confident as I was before..... I would need need to retake speech college writing, algebra and Psyc 101 to go to Aiken tech.... they won't take my old ones.... I got an a in lifespan my b in psychology is 17 years old lol :) they say Aiken has the better accreditation and if you go to Augusta you can only work in Georgia due to lack of national accreditation or that you have to jump through more hoops to transfer your license. Augusta is supposed to be applying for accreditation but if you go to the national website it does not say that they have applied so not sure who to believe there! I tried to apply there before I realized that all classes expire after 10 years in Aiken no matter the subject algebra doesn't change lol

If they were just using the augusta tech grades i prob would have been called already as my stats would have matched your friends. I didn't know aiken had a 5 semester BSN. I will have to retake my psych, algebra, college writing, and speech to apply to aiken tech as the classes are more than 10 years old... if I dont get in i think i will take those four classes next year along with chemistry 1 and 2 as I know those are needed for the bsn eventually anyway and reapply next year.... the b's i have are in psyc and college algebra so I would hope if i retook them they would take the new grade, but the hand book says they only let you retake if you get a grade lower than a B the first time.

I also took anp 1,2, micro and lifespan psychology... all a's, my 2 b's are from over 15 years ago, but according to the handbook I couldnt retake the classes as it says you can only retake classes if you have less than a B in the class.... sucks that 2 classes I took in high school for college credit when I was 17 lower my gpa now if I go to degree works page it lists my gpa as a 4.0 so they must have to go in and manually adjust it if they do consider those 2 classes.

I am waiting. I heard some people were already accepted this past week. My gpa depends on how they look at it... if they take only classes I took at augusta I have a 4.0 if they calculate transfer classes too I have a 3.75. I have A's in anatomy I and II and micro. I got a 91.2 on the teas as well. What are your stats? Online as of now no one has registered for the classes as it still says 0 of 35 slots have been taken.
