  1. Hello everyone. I was in the nursing program at CCP from 2016-2017. I passed Nursing 101 & 102. I'm hoping to join the 2020 class. I just put my application for readmission in on June 1st. I'm praying & hoping I'm accepted, if so .... cant wait to meet you all!
  2. I feel the same way. I'm going to community college of Philadelphia starting fall 2016. I didn't expect to get in because everyone kept saying how competitive it is. I had 7 points out of nine and I got a 70% on my Kaplan which was the minimum. I swear its a miracle I got in. I cried when I got my acceptance letter. Ive wanted to be a nurse all my life, and I'm so happy I'm finally starting my journey. I have had so many people put me down and tell me I couldn't do it, it feels amazing to prove those people wrong. I had a baby at 16 in high school .... so you can understand why people thought nursing wasn't in my reach. well I will continue to prove people wrong :) . good luck on your journey!
  3. Wednesday is my final . finishing up my five week course. Incredibly challenging.... But possibl . So far I have aced five tests , and hopefully the final. Diagrams in the book. I'm visual person, I need to visualize what is going on in the body . when you learn a new concept close your eyes and visualize what it looks like happening in your body and you will have something to relate it to. I visualized touching a hot pan , receptors propagating action potions along axon through dorsal roots / horns of spinal cord. Synapsing with efferent neuron and traveling through ventral horns along the axon and pulling my hand back. Whenever you have extra time replay it like a movie. Weird advice but it works!!
  4. I agree reading the chapters and than rereading. The first time I read the chapters I was worried I couldn't understand it the second time through was much clearer
