  4. Just when I had lost hope I got a call to interview with PIH Health. Has anyone ever applied to any of their locations? Im in Los Angeles Ca by the way.
  5. to be honest I don't know. I know UCLA opened their new grad and they were offering I believe $48. The rest do not specify.
  6. thank you !! its up to me how long it takes but im done by Spring 2022 cause I need to take extra classes (non nursing ) in order to get a degree from that school
  7. and as far as cedars please apply as soon as it opens at 12 am because I woke up around 9 am and it was already closed. !! lesson learned from me next time im staying up all night LOL youre very welcome. He used to write NCLEX questions for them. but he chose to be an instructor instead. so he knows everythings
  8. if im not mistaken about 1 month, but thats because they told us to apply for it in advance. I def recommend you to use UWorld and to listen to the audios form this guy > http://www.cold-clutches.com/the-real-original-free-mark-klimek-NCLEX-review-audio-downloads/ I passed on the first try thanks to these two materials. Mark K is amazing !!
  9. OMG I tried to apply to that program and within hours it was closed! I was so sad. were you able to apply? oh I won't give up ! I hope you get lucky !! by the way look at this website it gives you the info on new grad programs. It's good for reference https://rnnewgrads.com/california
  10. nope thats not the case most of the time, thats why I don't understand why they are called new grad programs. I have 0 experience and they always say they went for somebody more qualified than me. All of the ones I have applied for and these are big hospitals want at least 1 year of previous experience. People who were LPNS or CNA or LVNS fit perfectly for this. But I wish you luck, your BSN will help you a lot !
  11. yes thats correct, but some hospitals are okay with it as long as you're working on it. but experience is a big deal for new grad programs. yes I went right back to school to work on my BSN
  12. I graduated with 3.35 GPA, currently enrolled in a BSN program I just lack the experience. thats what I think its hurting me.
  13. its tough , I've applied to so many new grad programs but they always say they chose somebody else. I wish they gave me a chance ?
  14. Hello, I am a new grad nurse with no prior nursing experience. I just got my license back in August of this year. I have been applying for new grad programs but they all seem to pick other people which makes sense they most likely have more experience than I do. At times I feel so discouraged because I feel like nobody will ever give me a chance. Is anyone feeling the same? any recommendations ? I have thought about volunteering.
  15. I applied on the 11th, never got an assessment email. My status just says complete. Do you guys have prior nursing experience? I find it so hard for programs to accept because of that. ?
  16. does anyone know when they post the dates to apply for the new grad program ?
  17. does anyone know when kaisers new grad program starts ? they never post the dates,
  18. they are not making seniors repeat the semester, they qualified for what the BRN was asking for. everyone else will have to. It's so sad.
  19. yeah I want to get UWORLD and Saunders once I'm close to graduating and after to prepare me. I've heard from nurses during clinical rotations that UWORLD is the way to go and is very similar to NCLEX. the only down side is that its super expensive but its worth it. There is this nurse on instagram that has prepared a study guide/review and its amazing this is her ig user name: @yournusingeducator. I def recommend it, she sells it for 25 dollars, I've been reviewing her stuff to refresh my mind.
  20. I've heard that the BSN program is actually good and their NCLEX passing rate is high for them. But yeah for the ADN program is not good and I feel the same way you feel! A lot of people do!!. I'm also going to prepare myself by using UWORLD, and the Saunders book. they are a good preparation that's what I've heard from some people. I really want to begin preparing myself and like you said self study, we literally have no choice. I wish you good luck !! because we all need it in these tough times.
  21. I am an actual student, I speak from experience. I know of quite a few schools that won't make their student repeat anything. But I agree with you we all have to hang in there in these though times! I hope they don't make you repeat anything !!
  22. This program is a mess. Extremely unorganized, I'm very disappointed because its not what I thought it would be.
