  1. There were a few admitted doing LPN-RN! I'm not sure if they're on here but if they are I'm sure they'd love to help
  2. I'm not sure. And I don't wanna give you a number because it's going to vary. Ya know? No class is the same statistics wise. Like I said I was 62. So I can tell you they for sure pulled 2 from the wait list. Idk how many were pulled from waitlist in the other cohort
  3. Call the office Monday and ask what number you are on the waitlist. I was number 62 last year and ended up getting in. Just pray on it and keep your fingers crossed. Anything can happen!
  4. Most of us just bought one nice pair of white clogs :) & wear the pair to lab & clinical. (I tried to attach a pic that has the clogs in it lol not sure if it worked)
  5. Yeah we ordered our scissors, pen light, & a few others from amazon & just provided a receipt :) scrubs are only from those places Bc of the monogramming. Congrats everyone-& to anyone who had "limited space" I highly advise you call the office & ask what number you are on the list. If you're high up on it, don't beat yourself up Bc you may still have a chance. And even if you're not you can try again! I didn't get in my first try and I was so upset. But I tried again & second time was a charm. Good luck to everyone!
  6. You can get your actual clinical supplies like stethoscope and BP cuff from anywhere. Amazon etc. just make sure it's what is required & print your receipt for Chad!
  7. Uniforms by bayou is where most of us went. They're pretty reasonable. I just bought one set of scrubs to start with then got more closer to clinical.
  8. Hey hey :) call up there and ask what number you are on the list ! I was 62 & got in. Chances are if you're in the 60's you have a good chance!
  9. They basically don't give you a definite schedule until the week of. It sucks :/
  10. Hey everyone. Congrats. As far as your schedule it is on Lola but you can't go off of it. They change it. You can use it as a baseline but it won't stay the way it is on Lola. If you have any questions your best bet is going to the school. Not calling or emailing. & if anyone wears an XS my friend is selling her scrubs! BRCC text book resale Public Group | Facebook
  11. fingerprints from LSP, $100 money order, background check, LSBN licensure application
  12. Hey yall, I didn't get my letter until 06/19 last year. So I know the feeling. It should be this week though, only thing I can think that might be delaying it is the weather? lol idk though, just looking for a reason. Just make sure yall dont have much planned this week because if you are accepted, you have 24 hours to turn in a list of things after you accept your spot.
  13. If I'm remembering correctly it's going to literally be a plain envelope with a sticker on it that has your name lol. í ½í¸‚ I remember the feeling waiting on the letter to come. Just hang tight :)
  14. It just comes in a plain envelope. Nothing special
  15. Hey guys sorry just seeing all the questions! I had a 3.4 with an 86 on the HESI. BUT it varies with the applicants applying. So that all depends on who has what and the amount of people with higher or lower scores & GPAs. I took all prerequisites at BRCC. your first nursing semester is one class. Second, third, and fourth are two nursing classes each
  16. I don't think you can. I'm not sure though.
  17. Only during the spring & fall! And It depends which group they put you in as far as which semester you'll start in
  18. Good luck to everyone!!! It's almost that time!
  19. are you applying for lpn or rn. This post is for rn. Rn applications are once a year in January. No age limit
  20. They do require a specific place to purchase scrubs. That's it though. They don't care where you buy the rest of the stuff from
  21. They don't care where you get it or how you buy it. But they require a certain type. And you have to provide a receipt. í ½í¹„í ½í¹„ so it could be ordered on amazon. Wherever. & you get fingerprints done at the police headquarters over there on independence in Baton Rouge
  22. Save money lol. Because if you get accepted you have 24 hours to pay for a back ground check & , finger prints. Which is close to $200. And then you have about a month to buy all of your supplies. Scrubs. Stethoscope. Etc.
  23. you have to make a 75 overall, and a 75 or higher on each section
  24. Hey yall!!! So sorry, just getting back to this and seeing the concerns!!! It's been so busy... okay, Yes I am still here :) So, the 5 semesters, includes prereqs. The ACTUAL nursing portion, is 4 semesters ( 2 spring, 2 fall). The way they do the courses, you will take "one at a time" so to say, even though you take two a semester. Your class gets broken up into even MORE groups (aside from the two groups they make out of those accepted). I hope I answered any questions! Yall please feel free to email my school email if yall have any questions & I don't seem to be active on here.
