My college put my name and LPN on my student nurse ID badge. They have never told me not to say than I am not an LPN and its on my student nurse badge. I also find that the adjunt clinical instructors( I do evenings so never have the FT teaching staff in clinical setting) do not follow me as closely as they do the other non LPN students. Sometimes I wonder if that's a good or bad thing.

My LPN RN bridge started with a transition course after that we merged into 3rd level students.

I'm sorry to hear that! I too just returned to work after a 3 year break while attending RN school but I went the ped homecare route so its just me in the homes taking care of the child. Maybe look for another job if its too much to handle.

My college requires a CNA course if you are not an LPN going advanced placement which is what I did. I think it really helps those that have NO patient care experience. IT Teaches Alot Of Basics You Just Can't Get IN A Lab And Are Already EXPECTED To Know When You Hit The Floors For clinical.

I'm an LPN in DE making 27/hr but when we moved from upstate NY 3 years ago I was making 14/hr

Our clinical days are set monday and tuesdays, we have issues with the class schedule coming out a week before classes start then 2 days after class starts with changes. It's frustrating but sounds like it's common practice.

I had to do the NLN pre-entrance exam for my program, it was nothing but souped up SAT exam, we did have to do the ATI PN comprehensive exam at the end of our LPN to RN transition course, good luck!
