Deathbed visions
I work in an opposite environment - in labor and delivery - and so I don't see/experience this in that setting. But, my family is what some called "gifted" and so seeing angels, spirits, guides, etc. is an idea that we're used to When it is our time (or nearing) we are greeted by those who have passed before us, and so it isn't uncommon at all for people to see, talk and feel comforted by those on the other-side. The glassy look decribed - is them seeing beyond the veil of what we see with our physical eyes. Some people who are very sensitive, can communicate in this way on a regular basis. My 8 y.o. daughter is like this (as I also was as a child) and so those closest to death, and those who are newly-born (children) are usually very likely to have these clairvoyant abilities. I think anyone who has the opportunity to have this "glimpse" and reassurance, is blessed. :loveya:

It's official, I'm stupid!
I think the reality is...."It's official....that co-worker needs to retire!" If someone forgets WHY they became a nurse in the first place, than they clearly need to work somewhere else. Period. Never second-guess what the right thing to do is - Your inner-voice the one that is compassionate and knows how to treat people is loud and clear! Good for you for listening to it! Colleen

Any online LPN or ADN programs out there?
Someone metioned Rio Salado in AZ as an option, and I am looking into it. I had heard from an R.N. friend of mine, that the students didn't come as prepared (after graduation) as they should be. Another friend is going there for pre-req's, and then transferring to the U of A. Anyone interested, their site is:http://www.rio.maricopa.edu/ If anyone has graduated from there and has any feedback, I'd love to hear from you! -C.K.

Any online LPN or ADN programs out there?
HELP!!! I have been searching online like crazy trying to find an online LPN or ADN program. Some sites are misleading and end up only offering extending education to those who are already LPN's or those with previous Bachelor degrees or who may already be an R.N. What about those of us JUST STARTING OUT? Are there really No online options for newbies. I do know that clinicals are a part of everything, but I assume they could be setup as in the BSN online degrees - with preceptor sites? My local school in Tucson (Pima Community College) has a two year waiting list Anyone with ideas, I welcome your input!! -Colleen
