  1. Out of curiosity, did they tell you why you were notified early? Late applicants were supposed to receive email notification on 10/31. So confused.
  2. Been thinking about you. Did you get your letter today?
  3. I am at El Centro, too!!
  4. I'M IN!!!! Come on FutureNurseGoodwin!! Check your mail!!!!
  5. Where do you live? Waiting on my letter!
  6. CONGRATS!!!!!! Where do you live? I am waiting on my mailman right now!! Soooo anxious!! How many points did you have?

  8. I'm glad you decided to do that!! I would have done the same thing!!
  9. Who said they are extending the deadline until the 29th?
  10. Hi Dulce. I submitted on July 5th. I'm worried about the people who haven't been able to get down to the school to turn in their application since the deadline is Friday. The school has been closed all week due to the shootings.
  11. I think they should *at least* give receipts showing that you submitted your packet. I'm probably paranoid - I've never heard of it happening - but I would hate for a packet to get "lost." I could not tell how many (if any) envelopes were in the drop box - it was like the box at the post office - you can't see down into it. I SO wanted to know but I didn't want to stand there squishing my face to the opening trying to see how many!! You've got to keep me posted to when you submit yours! We're in this together!!
  12. It was so anticlimactic. Walked in, put my envelope in the drop box (there was no one in the office and the sign said all applications go in the drop box), and walked out. I was thinking "Trumpets and confetti would be nice - this has been a long time coming." I had to get another transcript sent from a school I attended previously - I did that on Friday, July 1. Even though it has been on file since I came to DCCCD (in 2012), the packet said the print date has to be 3 years or less. *sigh* Thank goodness that school sent it electronically, so it was done that same day. So. many. hoops. to jump through.
  13. Has anyone submitted their application? I turned mine in yesterday. Now to wait... 100 days until October 15.
  14. Hep A also takes 6 months. 1st dose in "month zero" and 2nd dose in month 6. Hep B is 1st dose in month zero, 2nd dose in month 1, and 3rd dose in month 6.
  15. They didn't change it in May. It was changed at least as early as November 2015.
  16. I have 42 as of the deadline, but 43 after Summer II ends.

  21. I am so sorry that your application is going to be delayed because of the immunization requirements. It seems like there are a lot whose would be complete within a few days of the deadline, and it is super disappointing. I had to delay my application for the last group because my lab titers came back as nonimmune and I had to redo a Rubella and Varicella series and they weren't done before the deadline. So I know exactly how disappointed you feel. I am not sure when they changed the policy, but in the Immunization & Physical Exam Requirements packet, it says effective Spring 2017 (I think the wording is confusing - they should have been more clear that the policy would apply to Spring 2017 applicants and not make it sound like the policy starts in Spring 2017). That packet is dated November 9, 2015. So pretty much anyone would have to have started their Hep A/B series in Nov or Dec to be finished by the July 15 deadline. I am not applying anywhere else. I put all my eggs in one basket with applying to El Centro. If I do not get accepted here, I may look into Brookhaven's program and see how qualified I am for that program. I'm just reeeeeeeeeeeally hoping I make it into EC's program this time!
  22. Oh no!! I'm so sorry!
  23. I submitted my Sentry MD information on 6/30 and got an answer back within hours. I was shocked, as they say to expect a 7-14 business day wait for a response.
  24. I made 96, 100, 100 on the three sections of English and I was SHOCKED because some of those questions were awful - they didn't make any sense. I would have scored better on A&P had I taken the second semester before I took the HESI. I don't want to retake it because I did get the full 7 points on the English, and it doesn't matter to me what section my points come from as long as I get them somehow. LOL. I'm afraid that if I retake it, I'll score lower than what I have now, and it's just not worth it to me for 6 more points. I think your scores are awesome, too. They're a lot better than others I've seen. Your scores are so high on A&P and math, I wouldn't want to retake it either and risk for some reason getting a lower score. You got this!! I expect to see you sitting right next to me in orientation!!
  25. My English average was 98.87 (7 points), I scored 88 on A&P (3 points), and 92 on Math (5 points), for a total of 15 points out of 21 possible for HESI. If i don't make the cut this time, I will take it again, but I'm praying I won't have to!!
