  1. ^ I agree, it's not just NYU. All NYC hospitals are focusing on their current staff and they're all so overwhelmed. They can't have valuable nurses precepting new grads/new hires whilst a pandemic is happening. I'm a new graduate since dec 2019. Passed my boards early march. Sent applications out in NYC. haven't heard anything in the past month. But, hopefully once things die down, we'll all hear back from someone soon. Best of luck to everyone and stay safe!
  2. Hey Everyone! I'm planning to apply for the August 1st deadline at Storrs campus. I saw that a few people asked what the personal statement was suppose to be about and how many pages, but there was no answer. I'm gunna repeat the question. Anyone have any idea? Any info will be much appreciated. Thank you! AND best of luck to everyone and congrats to those who already got accepted:)
  3. Hey! I applied as well but haven't received any notice of exams yet. Where did you find that out? Also, did you apply for the regular BSN or Dual second degree?
  4. Congrats! Could we ask what your background and gpa, etc were? I'm so curious as to what type of credentials applicants have when applying to their MDE program. It's fairly new and the application is so innovative. Pretty awesome you got in!
  5. So glad to hear that I'm not alone! I wish we had a fighting chance, but these days.. those who apply to the accelerated programs or dual degree programs, usually have A LOT of clinical experience and on top of that, great GPAs... and so it cuts out people like us.. It's a terrifying feeling.
  6. Would anyone happen to know if Biochemistry/Chemistry of Life can be equivalent to Organic Chem? I've emailed their admissions, but haven't heard a reply since
  7. Hm, I wonder why it's not 'required'. They must receive a lot of applicants to read everything. Thank you for your response! I appreciate it!
  8. Hello! I'm also interested in applying for the Fall 2018 cohort. Probably won't get in.. but gotta at least try! Does anyone know if recommendation letters are required? If so, how many and how do they need to be sent in? It seems they rely on NursingCAS for everything ..
  9. Hi Everyone, This is my first ever comment on this website. I've actually just been told that they're still accepting applications for Spring 2018. I'm late in finding out about this program and wondering if I would still have a chance of getting in. I do not have a 3.3 GPA (sadface), but I've taken all my pre-reqs with a 3.7 GPA for them. I've had some clinical experience as well. I wonder, would I still have a chance even though I'll be applying so late in the game? Also, could I ask where this application is available? I checked the undergraduate application, but its for high school graduates. Any information or encouragement would be so helpful! Thank you! & Happy soon to be Holidays
