  1. As a nurse in a clinical setting things are a little different for me: 1. Patients will almost always come to you or call you before they go to the ER, even if they are having an MI. 2. Your CMA and front desk staff are what keeps you running efficiently when you have 50 patients on your schedule. Remember to thank them frequently. 3. You will spend more time than your care to admit arguing with insurance companies about why they should cover a certain drug or test for your patient. 4. There are patients you see regularly that as much as you try not to, you get attached to them and you care about them as much as you provide care to them. It hurts when you lose one. 5. Your career will be full of joy, compassion, frustration, and strength. Some days you will wonder what you were thinking becoming a nurse... But let's be honest. This is what you were made to be and couldn't imagine being anything else! Happy Nurse's Week!
  2. When a patient pushes their call button I hope I don't find... a patient sleeping and the light off. (The ghosts that won't leave).
