  1. Make sure it's under your tongue...oh according to this you are dead! I thought you said you haven't eaten or had anything to drink in the last 5 minutes, but now you are saying you had ice water a second ago....(oh if I could just put this where the sun don't shine) smile, smile....okay lets wait a minute and take it again....smile, smile....
  2. The 3 "H" enema===high, hot, hell of alot--most new grads have no clue what this is. LOL
  3. 1. When you stop learning as a nurse, quit, because you are dangerous! 2. Always be willing to teach someone that is willing to learn 3. Remember, sometimes you just have to tell yourself, not my circus, not my monkey and smile when that 1 patient and or family member has just stepped on your last nerve. 4. The little things are what patients and families remember, the warm blanket you just placed on their deceased loved one, because they think the loved one is cold. 5. Always remember each day is a gift, not only for you but for the patient you are caring for.
  4. We were short 2 nurses, everybody is alive, and day shift is here!
