  1. If I were in your situation I would speak to my DON about the situation you are being put in. Try to work out the problem, if nothing is done to help you then simply put in your 2 week notice. When you apply for another job, dont hide the fact you worked somewhere else, explain that you tried to work things out, nothing was done, and you feared for the safety of your residents and your staff and yourself. Value your license you worked hard for them, dont let someone put you in a situation that you can not manage. Because even if they are in the wrong and they are assigning you things you should not be doing it is your job to say NO, because its is your license, you will be the one blamed. Good Luck to you! Also in my area hospitals do hire LPN's, they just dont make much money starting around 14.
  2. I say do what your heart tells you to do, its not all about money! If you are not happy at your job you arent going to stay anyway, or you are going to not care and just go through the motions and you definitly dont want to do that in nursing when there are lifes at stake. I say sit back weigh the pros and cons and decide what will make YOU happy, not everyone else around you. Good Luck
  3. I live in Florida and I make 19.50 in a LTC facility on 11-7
  4. Do you have 24 hour reports? Did you happen to put it on there? I mean it would be really unrealistic if EVERYTHING about that came up missing. If I were you I would find another job, it is not worth losing your license over!
