  1. Just got accepted to CCC! Now to decide between them and PCC!...
  2. Also, when is CCC's cutoff deadline for letting them know if you plan on attending their program or not? Thanks!
  3. When I spoke with the advisor yesterday she said that most students prefer to do 12-12-9 credits the first term. It's pathophysiology 1 & 2 that bring it to 12 credits, but you can go either way. You can start with 9 credits the first term to ease yourself in or if you have to work, then take patho the 2nd and 3rd term.
  4. Do any of you know how it works with withdrawing your acceptance? I'm not doing it at the moment, but with going to CCC's orientation I think that I'm hopeful that I'll get in there and yet I've already accepted at PCC. I know I'll lose my seat deposit, but is there anything else that I need to think about?
  5. Pdx student- I think he's gonna have to be very flexible. My boyfriend works 6-3 so I'm concerned about the mornings wed-fri when I have my kiddos. The advisor also said there's some weekend clinicals :-( it's gonna be a rough couple of years, but we'll figure it out! It's gonna be worth it!
  6. Thursday and/or Friday? Did she indicate times?...
  7. I'm so curious as to what first year schedule looks like. I've got my kids half the week and am wondering what I'll need for childcare. Mind sharing what a typical week looks like?
  8. I just got invited to orientation at CCC, which means there is movement on the alternate list and I am presumably now in the top 15... I've already accepted at PCC... But loved that CCC's cohort is so tiny... This makes my brain hurt.
  9. I agree with looking at student retention rate as well as NCLEX pass rate. Of course proximity is important, but I also feel that you have to go with your gut up a certain extent. I have always gone to PCC, but was extremely impressed with CCCs interview process as well appreciated the fact that their cohort size is only 30; that seems more intimate to me. That being said, I was only accepted to PCC and I'll take it! I also heard today that PCCs cohort size went down from 80 to 62.
  10. Good call. I've seen that people sometimes start a Facebook group too, but I'm not super savvy at that. I've gotta say that I'm super relieved- I applied to six schools and PCC is the only one that I got accepted to. It's been quite a past few months!! I'm looking forward to meeting with an advisor and getting my financial aid figured out. Next steps!!
  11. I'm in too!!! I can breathe for the first time in 3 months!!!
  12. It was so nice last week knowing I wasn't getting an e-mail from anywhere! I wish I could keep the obsession in check- but I'm right there with ya!
  13. Just got the email. I'm on the alternate list but I'm assuming I'm not in the top 15 since I wasn't invited to orientation.
  14. Thank you My last name starts with a W. So probably tomorrow. I'm praying!
  15. What's your last name start with? And what time did you get the email?...
