You have a chance! Do not give up on your dreams. I also suggest that you build your resume and get involved at your job. Shadow a CRNA too. I say go for it :)

I believe the cumulative GPA is the GPA for all college coursework.

UPDATE: I do not regret choosing to pursue DNP-NA at the Baylor College of Medicine. I was initially concerned about the cost, as I could essentially go to another program and not take out loans (thanks to my family). The decision to go to BCM was the best. The professors are genuinely interested in the student's success. It is a tough program, and classes are Monday to Friday (after the first six months). But, the immense support from the program director, assistant program directors, and buddies (senior students) have been beyond my expectations. The in-class collaboration with other students from the Physician Assistant and Medical School program is an added bonus. I have no regrets at all :) Also, three of my classmates have children (two guys and a lady); they are doing well. This is not to undermine the rigors of the program. This program is arduous and will test your abilities and resources. But with set plans, determination, dedication, and excellent support systems, one can expect to do okay. So, if you are considering applying to BCM Nurse Anesthesia program, please do not hesitate to do so. In my opinion, you will not regret it. Reach out to me if you have questions!

Thank you. Interview activities were all day. 7:30am till about 7pm. The first 8 hours or so were spent learning about the program and interviewing with 5 different interviewers. Average time with each person was like 30 minutes. There were breaks in between. Interview ended like around 4pm. They offered a tour of the college and opportunity to go to a social and hang out with students that are already in the program. Interview questions were a good mix of personal and clinical. Just be yourself. I also interviewed at UTHouston. In comparison, it was a 15 mins interview. It also consisted of personal and clinical questions. Overall, I thought both interviews were nice to experience. I felt very blessed and happy that I had the opportunity.

Thank you JennyRN4! I am not particularly sure. I do remember that my acceptance letter stated that full acceptance was contingent upon successful completion of required classes with grade of B or better before matriculation. Personally, I took Organic Chem first, then GRE, then I wrote my personal statement - I think these can be done with the amount of time you have before application deadline of 07/01/2017. If you take the class and get a good grade, it will make you stand out more during interviews. You still have to interview well! Email or call the program, their staff respond timely to questions and are very helpful. All the best!!!

My pleasure and thanks! It was a very tough decision to make... my family has decided on declining UT's acceptance; I will be going to Baylor.
