  1. Got my blue card from the BON today! Anyone register for the urine drug screen and get an email back? I registered last Thursday but haven't got an email with the information of when and where yet.
  2. Congrats!!!!
  3. I got in!!!! Starting the transition program in June at Tomball campus. Super long checklist of things to complete. Anybody else get their acceptance letter/email yet?
  4. I got in!!! Starting the transition program at Tomball in June. Anyone else get news yet?
  5. Thanks for the info, CaseyT. I'm sure with the college being closed the last 3 days that set them back.
  6. I applied to the Transition program as well (score of 7.328). My first choice is Tomball and 2nd is Montgomery. I'm hoping we find out something tomorrow. I read last year they got blue cards(cleared background check) in the mail like two days before getting their acceptance/alternate email. Did anyone get one of these? I am just curious cause I have not so far. Trying to be patient.
  7. Fingers crossed we hear something tomorrow!
  8. Personally, Yes and No. Yes because you gain nursing experience. No because when you go through the ADN program you have no break in learning so you remember the things you have learned better. This may be different for each LVN but for me I graduated from Practical/Vocational Nursing in 2009. I worked my first two years in a large private family practice and then moved to Texas and worked in Pediatrics. I worked for UTMB Alvin Peds clinic, a multi-specialty clinic(I worked in Peds) owned by Tomball Regional and now a private peds clinic in Montgomery. My advice to anyone going into the LVN program, I would say set yourself up so you can transition immediately into the ADN program, If being an RN is your goal. I don't have any regrets but when I graduated financially I couldn't afford to not work for another year to do the transition program to get my ADN. I hope that helps with any questions or concerns you have.
  9. I saw that too. Last year they started getting notifications on 4/14. I keep checking my email, but nothing yet. I think I read that North Harris and Cyfair got notifications first then the others were one to two days later.
  10. I applied to the transition LVN TO RN program with a 7.328. My first choice is Tomball and 2nd is Montgomery. I am getting nervous my score is too low. I debated retaking my HESI but worried I might not pass a section and have to wait a whole another year to apply. Regardless of whatever happens I'm just ready to find out. Anyone else checking their email constantly?
