  1. Just got an email offering a virtual interview Jan 20th or 21st. I did get acceptance elsewhere already though so not 100% sure if I'll do it anyways. Check your emails!
  2. I got that email the other day too. I was for sure thinking it was the rejection notification but it said still under consideration. Nice to hear something at least!
  3. Well that gives me a little hope still then! But I do hope they let us know if we aren't chosen to interview at all so I'm not left wondering forever!
  4. I applied as well! I read somewhere interviews are in January. Good luck everyone!
  5. Oh man I applied but haven't heard anything. What a bummer. Does anyone know if they email you to say you weren't chosen for an interview? I hate stalking my email I'd much rather just know, even if it's a negative.
  6. Anyone that is going to the Hayward orientation tomorrow could you please let me know the time and where exactly we go to sign in? After work this evening I noticed I had an email saying that a position had opened at Hayward and that I was next on the list to switch campuses! Of course it also said that if I'd like to that I need to attend the Hayward orientation on Aug 2nd... tomorrow haha. It has been a mad scramble to get things taken care of with work and such, but I managed and I will be there! :) In my state of panic, I totally forgot to confirm the time and where it would be taking place!
  7. I got a call today from csusb nursing dept. Apparently a spot opened up and they are offering it to me... I never even continued on with the application process with them. Like I never paid that $200 and sent in my intent so I figured that would make my application not a part of the process anymore. Does anyone know anything about the program? The website doesn't really seem to give any info so I am not sure what to do. I have a spot at csueb for the fall and since I know nothing about this program I don't know if it is worth it to give that up.
  8. I think this is something that is totally different for everyone. I went to my local pathology company. They say that for most tests you can have your results same day. Unfortunately that was not the case for titers with them. They had an internal lab for most things, but that wasn't one of them. All titers were sent from CA to a lab in TX! I'd say they took about a week to get the results back. I had to redo a few (dr missed 1 titer on the order sheet and also ordered the antigen test instead of the antibody for another) and had my blood drawn 3 separate times for this. It was pretty consistently about a week, never more. Good luck! I had to wait until the last minute too. I know how stressful it is!
  9. Yes 75. I'm honestly really surprised they havent made it further down the list yet! It seems like maybe everything is finalized for now.... I counted how many people the Concord specific emails are getting sent out to and it was slightly over 60 which I thought was weird. It's possible they were sent to other ebsna members too though and that's why there is more. But I still think there's a chance for you so don't lose hope too much! Things happen and I feel like it's not unlikely that last minute some people will not be able to go. I know it's stressful to have to wait though :/
  10. Ladybug I am pretty sure it is 120 students total between the two campuses! Seems like a lot compared to most programs. I honestly really do think it's possible that 7 people will change their plans over the next 2 months or so. Who knows how many accepted students are waitlisted at their preferred school! Just stay positive and I'd say every 2 weeks is probably best. Although I know I'd want to check in every day haha! Myaimistrue I have definitely had trouble with them! I don't like the way things are set up, the site sucks, and they've been little to no help. I called them the other day and I was #22 on hold! I can tell you that you are fine even if you miss the deadline though! I talked to the school because some of my things are running a bit late. They said as long as the stuff is in before next Friday you are good. If it won't be, the nursing dept said to call them! I've had quite the struggle with both castlebranch and the actual requirements, it's been a mess! Can't wait until this is all done and we get to get started! :)
  11. I know how tough it is! It drove me absolutely batty! But there is definitely still time to get in! I'm sure there will be people over the next 2 1/2 months that either can't attend anymore or choose to go elsewhere. Considering the amount of students this program takes altogether, I think that's a lot more likely to happen than at a lot of other schools. You are right about them accepting up until the 20th too. School starts the next day, the 21st I believe! I know it doesn't feel like it, but there is still plenty of time! By the way when they send you an offer, you get a week to respond I think.
  12. Thank you so much that really eased my mind! :) I went ahead and called and they stated that they won't check for about a week after its all due anyways. She said as long as everything is in by the 20th-22nd it would be no problem but to call if anything would be later than that. So hopefully that helps if anyone else was worried about either!
  13. I'm getting a bit worried that I won't have all my health requirements uploaded in time! Apparently my blood work has to be sent out to a bigger lab so it will take longer than normal. Supposedly I'll get it on Friday, the day it is due for me... That has me worried! Also my drug test could only be done at 1 location 30+ miles away from me! It also has incredibly limited hours that do not work at all for my work schedule. Stressing out! I know it's a long shot but did anyone happen to get an extension or discuss the requirements/due dates with the nursing department at all?
  14. Emailed! They told me my space but what they didnt say was whether or not what they told me included the waitlist numbers they had already accepted. Be sure to ask that! I'm sure you will get in! Don't lose hope! :)
  15. I applied for fresno state this fall too! I think I was waitlist #21. Such a bummer but they said not to lose out on hope until the very end. I grew up in Fresno and I've heard of people I know being accepted mere days before the start! Don't count it out completely yet! I'm 1000% sure spring will be easier since there is way less competition. I know it's gotten pretty fierce in the last few years! Plus the application time isn't too far away anyways right? Is it the only school you applied to?
  16. I think we do register nursing classes at the orientation. They said to look it over, get an idea what you want, and that they give you priority numbers to register there. You can only enroll in the others like nutrition, psych, etc right now. I'm very excited though because after I got an email that said I hadn't taken nutrition and needed to, I got an email 2 days later saying I had and didn't need to. So glad that was taken care of because I don't know about you all but I wasn't looking forward to 16 units the first quarter! Mauijen everything is due next Friday June (woops July I mean) July 15th!
  17. Woohoo koolfish! Congrats!!! :) ladybug I've been looking over the schedule for the first quarter and it looks like it's M-T for Concord (maybe even T-T for some) and either M-T or M-F at Hayward depending on what group you are in for one class. Not 100% but that's what it looks like! You can get an idea of what it's like through the class search option.
  18. Oh gotcha! Since you said you signed up for 2 classes already I figured you must be taking other classes as well. So you signed up for nursing ones then? I thought they said we wouldn't be able to until orientation?
  19. Janice you will be taking 2 classes on top of the 16 or so units we already have to take the first quarter?! I am pretty frustrated because they sent me an email saying I need to take nutrition still. I just took it this last spring semester at my previous school! I contacted them to figure out if that was based on my most recent transcripts or not. Didn't get a clear answer really but apparently not because they said they don't see nutrition in my transcripts at all so I went ahead and registered since you can't talk to your advisor about it and get it fixed until after fall starts, ugh! Also it turns out nutrition is only offered there in 2 online formats and 1 in person at hayward. I'm currently enrolled at concord so I need online but they are both waitlisted already. Hope everyone that needs it has already signed up! Anyone else having issues with this? I just feel as though I'm wasting a spot that should go to someone who actually needs it.
  20. OP I can totally understand how you are feeling right now. Not long ago I was in your same shoes. A few years into college and I started feeling like I still had SO many years left just to reach my first goal of being an RN, something I knew I always wanted. On top of what I still had left to do, there was also the thought of how competitive it is and how long some people wait just to get into a program. I got extremely disheartened and I changed my major temporarily. I switched back the very next semester when I realized I needed to chase my dream, not some random degree that I thought I'd at least get quicker. So I wasted even more time! Then I got back to it and I listened to my cc when they said not to take too many sciences at once. I wanted the best gpa possible so I did it... so at this point I had lost even MORE time! Then when I finally applied, I was sure I wouldn't get in the first round and that I wasn't competitive enough of a candidate. I figured there'd be even more time to wait. But I was wrong and I got in! I think you need to follow your dreams the best way possible, no matter how the time commitment feels to you now. It sounds to me like being a nurse midwife or an l&d nurse is what you want. So keep on your path, stay focused, and don't dwell so much on the timeline! At 20, it feels like forever. But believe me it's not! Good luck to you :) and I agree with the others, talk to a counselor from the University! They can give you the info that will be most helpful.
  21. Fingers crossed for you to hear back stat! The waiting game really sucks
  22. I am sorry if my post made you feel that way. I thought I was being clear that I meant I did not think I would be in the last 10 spots that they had RIGHT NOW. I felt I would be waiting awhile before I heard back. I am dying to know what my future holds and the wait is really tough. I am sure everyone on the waitlist feels the same. That was what I was expressing in my post. Honestly it is so nice to have the support of people who understand what we are going through. Not all days are full of positivity, unfortunately. I felt it was okay to express my feelings, good or bad, to a group that can relate. The thought of my future and finally getting to where I have been fighting to be is exciting and it keeps me going. I like to be involved in this group for myself and others that are also wanting to share info, feelings, and advice. Again, I am sorry that it came across in such a way to you. That was in no way my intention. In other news... I GOT IN!!! For those that are waiting and curious, Concord was the only campus that had available spot(s). You can request to be on the Hayward campus waitlist as well. I am totally lost as to what campus I would prefer so not sure if I will do that or not... Anyways, good luck to everyone! I know you are not far behind! :)
  23. Of course I will keep you all updated! I'm sure someone has to be dying to know as much as I am! Still nothing for me I'm seriously losing my mind here! I'm thinking I'm probably at the very end of the 1st 3rd. Maybe I'm just losing hope but I'm feeling like I'm probably not going to be within those last 10 spots they are working on filling. I'm betting I'll probably be waiting awhile for people to change their mind. I'm sure based on past statistics that we'll all get in eventually! But I just don't know if I'll be sane anymore by the time we finally hear haha! I wish there were more waitlisted people posting on this forum so that we could get some more insight.
  24. Okay I've been obsessing nonstop so I decided I had to email and ask for an update as well! They said they still have about 10 spots and are slowly but surely working on filling them. More notifications will be going out this week. They also said it's looking like the Hayward Campus will fill up soon leaving Concord as the only choice.
  25. Thanks for sharing that makes me feel better! But yet all the more anxious as well. I haven't heard anything yet and I'm going crazy. I may email in the next few days and see what they say so we can compare info then! No matter what, you have a really good chance of getting in! It's just the wait feels like torture :/
