  1. Hi there! I am a full-time teacher and I don’t have any family here in Texas, as I am from GA and moved here alone 3 years ago. LOL so I don’t really have the luxury of applying to any day programs unfortunately ? because I still have to work full-time. So Kingwood is the only option that works for my schedule since it’s an evening program. I’m not exactly sure why everyone says CyFair isn’t good, but there’s a facebook Lone Star Nursing group and a lot of ppl in there that currently attend, have attended, or know someone that attends says to avoid it. From what I’ve seen, a lot of people say it’s unorganized and some other things. I would say carefully consider all campuses and make the decision you feel is best for you! Personally, If that many people have said the same things about a certain program/campus in particular… I would avoid it. because it’s just too risky to enroll and then find out later that people were right. ?
  2. Hi Christina, Our stories are similar. I took it May 21st through ProctorU. I’ve paid to retake it on July 25th at the Kingwood campus. Yes, I attended the June information session and I heard her say she may take the number from 100 to 120 because they didn’t receive as many applications for the transition program I believe. And I figured I had version 2 when I was finishing each section of the test and the screen where all subjects listed had “RETEST” in the subject name next to the subject. But it was confirmed when I looked at my individual detailed score report sheet for each subject. If you login to Elsevier and click on one of the subjects and then clicked “Results Report” under where it says View Your Detailed Scoring Report. when you click on that for each section, in the title it’ll say “ A-2 V-2 Math” or etc. for whatever the subject is! Good Luck to you as well!! I’m claiming that we’ll all get in!
  3. Hi Samantha! Great to hear! I didn’t see any threads for Spring 2023 so I wanted to start one. LOL I took the HESI on May 21st but I did horrible on the anatomy section. I used my nursehub subscription mostly to study for that section because so many ppl in the HESI facebook groups says it’s nearly identical to the actual test. But I found out that I was given Version 2 of the HESI instead of Version 1 and I believe Nurse Hub’s anatomy practice tests mirror Version 1 of the test and not Version 2 as much. I’m scheduled to retake it on July 25th. I scheduled my 1st attempt in advance just in case I needed to retake. so I’m glad I planned it out that way, seeing as though I have to retake it now. LOL but on my 1st attempt I got : 88 in Math, 90 in Reading, 90 in grammar, 94 on grammar, and 970 on Critical Thinking. we got this! you’ll knock it out the park when you take it. I highly recommend Nurse Hub, Quizlet, and Math Dude on Youtube if math is your weakest point like mine. LOL I also had a subscription to Boost Prep, it was very helpful as well for reiterating all the concepts. I’m currently enrolled in English and Anatomy 1 with Lone Star to raise my grade in those to an A since I took both so long ago when I was in undergrad.
  4. Hi everyone! I'm a potential student for Lone Star's Spring 2023 ADN start at the Kingwood location. I didn't see a thread specifically for that cohort, so I decided to make one. LOL This thread intended to be for applicants to share application info, stats, HESI scores, study tips, and more. The application deadline is August 12th I believe, so I intend to apply at the end of July AFTER my HESI retake.
