  1. I originally was going the ABSN route as well but I am now in an LPN program here in NY as well. I’ll be getting my feet wet in nursing while making a decent living fairly quickly. It’s so competitive to get into an RN program right away.
  2. Some rehab centers hire LVNS. You could look into that.
  3. I have definitely seen this, working in LTC for so many years. I don't think it's true though. If anything, I think that the LPNS are more knowledgeable in my facility. I would take a knowledgeable LPN over an RN that doesn't know much anyday.

I originally took Physiology with Statistics which was a disaster for me because personally I hate math and two, I hate Chemistry, and Physiology was basically Chemistry based (reactions in the human body) type. I think that taking Anatomy and Physio 2 with a class like Nutrition or Microbio would be helpful because you'd be able to make the mental connections of how they are important/coincede

This course is designed to explore the physiological mechanisms of nutrient metabolism and their interactions on human cellular biology. The characteristics and functions of nutrient groups are studied in their relation to their biological requirements and proper balance. Special attention is given to the relationship between an unbalanced diet, an altered metabolism and the disease process. I'm leaning more towards the human bionutrition class and the nutrition for the healthcare professional class.
