CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)
Nope. I just called Monica this morning around 9AM and she answered the phone. I think she's too busy to respond to emails and voicemail at this moment, so it's best to try to get a hold of her in the morning.

Csula SON is a mess right now. I got rejected, but they sent me another email saying I've been admitted!! What a rollercoaster of emotions.

At the info sesh, I was told that doing the collab program would take 3.5 years and we do have to take courses over the summer. As for the GPA, we have to maintain a competitive one because they only select 8 students (that's what I was told). I'm not sure if your GEs can be in progress.

CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)
I calculated my points and I got 25, but I got a rejection letter. I am so confused, but I emailed Monica. I'm actually going to give her a call later. I don't get it, lol. The letter stated that my points were lower than other applicants. Unless I counted my points wrong...

Sdsu fall 2016.
I have no idea. I was at work, so I couldn't speak to them, but I will call back tomorrow and see what they say. She said it looks like I have been waitlisted, and that the SON does not handle admitting students, it's all through the university. So I'm confused about that... I applied to CSULB, CSULA, LA county, and SDSU. Let me know what they tell you!!

Sdsu fall 2016.

Sdsu fall 2016.
Have you guys received a request to submit your transcripts and TEAS scores??? I haven't and I tried calling today. I called the SON first and told them my situation but they said I have to call admissions first. So i called admissions and she said she's not sure what's going on but she's going to take a look and give me a call back. Can any of you guys call and see if we got the same info???

Sdsu fall 2016.
Thanks for the info! Hmm we will just have to see then.

Sdsu fall 2016.
Ohhh I know why your friends got denied! On their website, the SON clearly stated that applicants must score 80% on the TEAS in order to be considered. So anything below 80 on the TEAS will automatically disqualify you. Thanks for your response! I scored an 83.3% on the TEAS which is barely competitive. I hope I get admitted

Yeah! I met someone who got into the collab program from LA trade tech. She said just basically keep your grades up and you will get selected.

Sdsu fall 2016.
Do you mind sharing the stats of your friends who got denied? I have been trying to figure out the cutoff scores for previous years but I could not find anything!

Sdsu fall 2016.
Can you give us some feedback on the SDSU Nursing program? :)
-
SDSU Fall 2016
You have 61 points! :)

SDSU Fall 2016
My application still says "pending". I have not heard back yet either! We have to be accepted into SON in order for the university to accept us. Since I am a transfer student, I cannot go into SDSU undeclared. So if SON does not accept me, I would automatically be rejected from SDSU. TEAS: 83.3 Prereq GPA: 4.0 Overall GPA: 3.91 No work experience. That puts me at 63 points.

L.A County School of nursing Fall 2016
Yes, LAC does have a collaboration program with CSULA. Basically, the whole program takes about 3.5 years to complete if we get selected to be a part of the collab program. I went to the info. sesh and they said that the program is very competitive, and they only select about 8 students.

Sdsu fall 2016.
No, but previous posts have stated that they have friends applying to SON who got "denied". So since we have no heard any news, I think we may all still have a chance of being admitted. I am trying to keep my mind off of this, but I just can't help it. I keep refreshing this page to see if you guys have heard anything, and refreshing the SDSU portal lol. If any of you hear anything please post on here to share the news!! :)

What is your overall GPA and your Prerequisite GPA? So I can put you on the list that we compiled to see our chances :)

L.A County School of nursing Fall 2016
Thank you! My first choice was CSULB, but I got rejected. But I'm not so down because I hear so many positive things about County. I applied for the basic RN program! I'm hoping to do the collaboration program with CSULA to get my BSN.

SDSU Nursing BSN Program Feedback
Hello everyone I applied for SDSU's SON for Fall 2016, and I am still waiting for the decision. However, I was looking around, but I could not find much information about the SDSU's BSN program. If anybody knows anything about the program such as how tough clinicals are, and if you felt clinicals prepared you for being in the hospital as an RN. Also, I want to know how the workload is, and how the schedule would be like. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
