  1. Good Morning, I am pleased to say that I passed my NCLEX RN this week. It has been a road of depression and this site helped me. I walked last December 2015, I had job offers that I accepted twice thinking that I would pass the test. Took it in April and I was crushed... I have read so many postings and thought I would post my adventure. I passed at 247 questions, I ran out of time and I thought surely this is it, I failed again. I was so scared it took me days to check, I paid for the quick method on Pearson. I even created a new study plan thinking that I did not pass. The day after I completed my exam I went on the Pearson site to read the passing rules; it stated that they would grade my last 60 and they would need to be above the passing level and even if one question was below I would fail. So at that point I kind of gave up. So, I guess I did something right because I passed For my entire exam, I thought that I had upper level questions, they were hard, hard, hard. I had everything on my test, SATA, MATH, PHARM, DRAG AND DROP, EKG you name it I had it. I thought I was gonna die, it was the longest 6 hours of my life. The entire time, I could feel my heart racing about to leave my chest. Here is how I studied... I will not say that I read the entire Saunders because that would be a lie... I did use the Saunders to read the chapters that I thought were my weak point. I did the NCSBN and I paid for the Kaplan Qbank, uWorld and Rn Mastery. I also printed some of the PDF online that I found I also used quizlet, I hired a private tutor on WYzant because I needed a teacher. She taught me how to take a test, break up the question and think about what it was asking me. In addition, I completed the Remar review and Mark Klimek review. Yes, I spent a lot of money and time... I had read that you should use various resources... So here is what I think helped me the most after wasting all this money and time: I would say that quizlet, Saunders book and question bank was my best friend. I know that we all will have a different preference.. Helped me pass: GOD!!!! I prayed every day, I prayed after every few questions on my test. I promised to be the best nurse that I could possibly be to save lives. God took my boyfriend out of my life, he was a source of stress for me I needed to focus on myself just for a short time. Saunders book and the questions - I studied by using the test strategies on the evolve site, the private tutor and my Mark Klimek Live review. I completed the entire RN Mastery and the Kaplan Bank scored in the 70's, 90's and 80's. I only studied 4 hours per day as opposed to the 9 hours I studied my first time when I took my initial nclex. I know my labs back and front and sideways. I know what each test means... I only did 50 - 100 questions per day and other than that just read to understand my content. All in all I think I needed to just relax, enjoy my family and just take a break when I studied. I tried to control my stress and anxiety. All I can say is to RELAX!!! Again, thank you everyone for posting and helping me to be confident so I took the chance again...

  3. Thank you so much, I just feel like I do not know what to do with myself... I will try to relax...!
  4. wow, same thing happened to me, but with 156 questions. Now I am just sitting and waiting.. I did not have many SATA but I did have priorities and such...
  5. Wow this is a hard question but an easy well too. It would be most acceptable to speak with the person about your concern. If that does not work then confidentially let the nurse manager know what has been happening and they will investigate.... H :)
  6. I have read many of the postings here while in nursing school and while studying for my nclex. You have all encouraged me so much... Ok, so I took my nclex yesterday, felt fine but now I am not sure what to think. I did not have many sata maybe 10 at the most, but had many priority, delegation, and assignment questions. I got shut off at 156. I feel like I am about to cry but I do not want to, I just refuse. What are your thoughts please? I felt confident about the questions, many people said I should feel nervous but I studied. I was not sure about a few but I felt ok. Please help, please.... Thank you
