I too had heard similar stories and was anxious regarding the potential of extra time. I completed in July of last year. I completed on the anniversary of the date I signed my contract. I made sure to call my case manager approximately 2 weeks prior to that date to make sure she had all the required documentation. I also emailed her on the date of completion to remind her that this was the date I was set to complete. The very next day I was no longer able to check in with recovery trek. Hopefully you will have the same experience I had. Good luck and congrats on completing the program!!

During my last year of the three year contract my case manager sent me an email stating I was approved for final step down testing. I was only tested once a month for the last 10 months of my contract as opposed to the 2-3 times a month I had been doing.

My anniversary date was August 1st. :)

I am so excited to say that I have successfully completed TPAPN!!!! I emailed my case manager yesterday reminding her that I believed I had reached my completion date and to confirm she had received all my final paperwork....I was able to check into recovery trek as usual this am at 0400. However, I just received a response from her and she said I was good to go. I tried to log into recovery trek again and it now says I'm inactive. I couldn't be happier!!!!! I am so excited and grateful that it was even quicker than I expected. So there it is guys. I'll wait for my completion letter to arrive in the mail and then I will happily burn the gigantic stack of every piece of paper I've collected over the last 3 years. I spoke with my case manager around the 10th of this month...she stated I was set to complete once she received my negative test for this month and my monthly report, which have been submitted. I'm hoping that the process of being released from recovery trek has improved although I don't see that happening as recovery trek took 2 months to move me to the final step down testing after receiving the email request from my case manager during my last year. It's so frustrating that we are held to higher standards regarding deadlines than they are. We should complete three years to the day as promised. I haven't missed a single check in, test, or been late on even one piece of paperwork, therefore, I was (and still am hoping) that they would rush my discharge along. One of my favorite things that have been said to me as I'm nearing the completion of this process was told to me by my advocate and was as follows....."Once you complete this process, nothing should change except for the fact that you no longer have to check in"- I truly find this comment proof that they have no idea how much this process consumes your thoughts and life. I absolutely cannot wait to not have to worry about every ingredient I put in my mouth, to actually clean my house with real cleaning products of my choosing, and use hand sanitizer without a second thought. These are just a FEW ways my life will indeed change!!!! As for now I suppose it's still a waiting game. I will def keep y'all posted as I'm sure others like me are curious about what to expect. A follow up question to Oogie would be were you selected to test after your anniversary date? If so, that would seem totally unfair but I would expect nothing less.

For anyone that's successfully completed TPAPN....did you complete on the anniversary of the day you signed your contract? How long before you were no longer required to check in? I should be done in a day or two and I was just curious what to expect. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Interesting. I work in a hospital and was fortunate enough to find that job almost immediately. It will be interesting to see how the others respond. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'm just curious since this topic has been brought up a few times recently with varying responses....For those of you who are enrolled in TPAPN, both new and old, have you been selected for weekend testing? How long have you been enrolled in the program? I have been enrolled for about 2.5 years and have not.

I find that I always wait 6-7 days for opt 2 (if I test on Monday, I won't get the results until Sunday at the earliest). The same typically goes for opt 3. I have been keeping track of the length of time it takes for results for approx one year and this is always the time frame. Hopefully this information helps to relieve some of your anxiety.

It always takes atleast 7-8 days for results when I test with options 2 or 3. Hopefully you'll get your results soon.

Thanks for everyone's kind replies. Update is that I received an email from recovery trek yesterday stating they had not received my specimen and to email my specimen ID number so they could further investigate. Scary to know we do everything right and things can still fall thru the cracks. Hopefully they will be able to resolve the issue. I will keep you updated as I will hopefully hear from them soon.

Quick question for any TPAPN nurses.... Wondering if anyone's recent drug test results are taking longer than usual. I have been in TPAPN for approx 17mo and tested option 1 last Monday and still don't have results. I have waited about a week to a week and a half for options 2/3 but never this long for option 1. I know 100% that I haven't taken anything that should cause a fail but the longer than usual wait time is kind of freaking me out. I keep telling myself that maybe they are behind but the longer it takes the more worried I get. So I'm just curious if anyone else is having this prob or should I maybe be concerned at this point that maybe somehow my specimen got lost or God forbid there was some sort of false positive. For anyone who has a gotten a positive before, did it take longer than usual for results and/or did recovery trek post the positive before your case manager contacted you. I'm sure everything is fine but if anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate the feedback.
