UWorld to study for the NCLEX?
Hello, I graduated in December and am sitting for the NCLEX this February. During a clinical rotation at the beginning of nursing school, I always remembered this older RN suggesting to use UWorld to prep for the NCLEX. That is exactly what I did, and have been using it since the beginning of January. Did UWorld help you on your journey to passing the NCLEX? Any experienced users, please let me know how helpful it proved a resource. :-) Thanks.

Trouble for taking Doctors candy
I would replace the candy you took and then run for the hills. This is an incredibly petty situation and does not sound like a place of work I would want to be in.

What are the best kind of nursing jobs for an RN BSN?
First off, I can't believe people are saying it's tough finding work as a new grad. Here, there are tons of job offers and hospitals snatching up new grad RNs. Guess it differs from city to city. A lot of my peers and I enjoyed critical care. During school you will find an area you are potentially interested in, don't worry.

Advice for a new graduate starting night shift?
Thank you for replying. My grandmother would watch her while I precepted because her father is also on night shift. I'm hoping it won't be too hard because I will only be working three days a week. Any advice on making it through a shift?

Dislike towards the patient whom I know outside work
I would avoid taking care of this particular patient.

Advice for a new graduate starting night shift?
I graduated nursing school and have accepted a job offer from where I previously had a clinical rotation. I'm very excited about starting, but this will be on nights and I have a child. Are there any other nurses who have worked night shift with a child or children, and do you have an tips on living this kind of life style? My schedule will be three 12's a week. I precepted on night shift, but this will be permanent.

What did you do after nursing school graduation?
Hello and happy holidays. I've just graduated nursing school a week ago and now preparing for state boards. After graduation what did you do? Did you take some time off? Did you work? Did you begin applying for jobs? Everyone's answer is different, and I'm curious to see them all. Thanks. :-)

Great! Thank you. Do you remember how many questions were on the OB exam?

Terrified!!!
If you have the money and time I would say go for it. My grandma graduated nursing school at the age of 60, as an immigrant. Nothing is impossible.

Advice on getting accepted into a RN program
I was accepted into nursing school with a 72% on my TEAS exam. My advice is to retake the TEAS exam, if permitted, and set up a meeting with admissions at your school and ask them their opinion on what to do to increase your chances of being accepted. Best of luck.

Who has taken the ATI OB exam?
Hello, I'm in my last semester of nursing school and failing maternity. I'm just wondering if anyone has taken the ATI OB exam, and how did you do? Also, how many questions were on this exam? In my program the score of this exam is actually a big portion of our grade, so it could potentially "make or break" me. Thanks for any helpful insight! And what form is typically used?

What to do with a bf who just wants me for my degree
Thank you for your replies, & encouragement. I broke up with him & he has stated he will no longer see our child. Luckily, he was placed on child support a year ago & makes payments. The new semester has started & I have arrangements with my grandmother who is flying in from Ukraine to help care for my child with my demanding schedule. :) I'm more than blessed to have this scum out of our lives & saw how silly it is to be sad. Again, thank you.

What to do with a bf who just wants me for my degree
Thank you for your responses, ladies. I've been kind of depressed all day, but I agree. Dropping him like a hot potato will benefit not only myself, but my child as well.

What to do with a bf who just wants me for my degree
Hello all, & happy new year. It has been some time since posting on this site, but I don't really have a lot of friends to consult with about a certain issue I'm facing during nursing school. I only have 12 months left of my program & my child's father seems to want to work things out all of a sudden. Background info: We were together for 7 years. Went through a lot of turmoil, which resulted in him breaking up with me. I predominately raise our child alone during the week, whether I'm in school or not, which has been very tough. My family helps financially with most of our needs. Anyway, I found some messages on his phone between him and his friend after I borrowed his cell to make a call. Basically he presumes that RN's make a ton of money, & that I'll be supporting him, our child, his child from a previous relationship, & MYSELF after graduating! I've never been a gold digger, but he works a dead end job & has no education. I forced myself into believing I loved him, but this does it. How should I dump him? We don't live together....I just feel so alone. I dropped all friends to responsibly raise my child & dedicate myself to nursing school. I was looking forward to someone to genuinely be there for me & take interest in my life. Thanks for reading, if you did. Have a blessed day/night.

Parenting and nursing school?
I'm looking for personal tips and success stories as far as having a child/children during nursing school. I'm a single mom to one, and I fear that I won't be able to be around much when I start my program in a few months. Although my child will only be 3 when I start, I'm just super nervous and needing encouragement. I have family willing to help out, but I'm also looking into daycares which I hate thinking about. Any tips and advice? Thank you.
