  1. Hospitals will hire associates as long as you are enrolled in a BSN program. I know RWJ does. I don’t know anything about New York hospitals. But if she’s already in ABSN program she might as well finish it out.
  2. If I could do it all over again I would go the traditional route like through community college and then let the hospital pay for my BSN. That or choose a whole different career LOL. But if you want to be a BSN in 10 months then this is the program for you. It severely lacks in clinical experience. The classes are difficult but it’s doable. It’s a whole lot of cramming. You are pretty much just paying for a BSN. You’ll learn everything on the job when you start working.
  3. 0/10 don’t recommend
  4. Hi pbadua! My overall gpa was 3.7, pre req GPA was 4.0, and my HESI score was a 89. Good luck with your application process! if you have any questions let us know!
  5. Hello! I hope everyone's semester is going well thus far! NJCU JC BSN applicants just received the decision letters. I am curious to know how the future cohort can prepare for the program/what can we expect. Any advice or comments will be extremely helpful. I am so excited and anxious to get started! Thank you!

  12. Hello! Has anyone received a decision yet? I can't believe the date had been delayed! So anxious :/
  13. I received the same email. I can't believe 1500 people applied!! I wonder what the point system is based on. I was pretending to forget about receiving the decision email and now I'm extra worried.

  18. Hello Everyone! Looks like we have two different forums going! https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/njcu-absn-2018-1095776-page3.html How is the application process for everyone?! Good luck!
  19. @bswanda I don't recall there being any plant biology on the exam
  20. @rose001 No problem! Let me know if there is anything else I can help with :)
  21. @Jyosei That is an awesome score!! Congratulations!! I am currently finishing up my personal statement. Good luck with everything! :)
  22. @rose001 There was not a critical thinking section. We are only tested on math, grammar, reading comprehension, a&p, and biology. Don't stress too much about the test!! as long as you put in your study time and are familiar with the concepts you'll be fine!!! Also the paragraphs for the reading comprehension were relatively short.
  23. How is everyone's application process going?
  24. Hi Rose! I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner! I dedicated about 3 weeks to studying. If you prepare, the test will be easy. I used the Elsevier book and flashcards from study stack and quizlet for studying. I also used the practice tests from mcgraw-hill's 3 evolve reach (hesi) a2 practice tests book. I also used the free practice exam that I found online (I will attach them to the end of the post). The Biology and A&P part was very basic! Each section of the test has about 5 experimental question. You are also able to choose the order of the sections you want to complete. You are given the score of the section as soon as it is complete. free practice tests: Free HESI A2 Grammar Practice Test Free HESI A2 Test Prep - HESI A2 Practice Test Free HESI A2 Practice Test Questions - Prep for the HESI A2 Test If there is anything I missed let me know!
