TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants
No, they do not add to your GPA. It is a point system on an excel spreadsheet. It used to be on the website but it seems to not be anymore. If you make an appointment with an advisor, they can give you some great information.

Texas Woman's University - Fall 2017 Weekend/Evening Program
Hello. It is definitely worth it to take the classes at TWU because you get 20+ points that transfer students don't get. I did not, but I made sure I applied with a 4.0 in my nursing core classes and with a high TEAS score (92 composite). As long as you are applying with competitive scores then you can get in without doing pre-requisites at TWU.

TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants
I plan on calling my twin sister first to let her know because she is my inspiration and she is a pediatric trauma nurse. Then I'll let my daughter know and then the rest of the family. I'm in Greenville, SC on a work trip right now so if I get in I'll be celebrating with co-workers tonight.

TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants
They are working this week and still not done processing applications.

TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants
Correct. Their application was processed last week. If the last person who's application is processed has issues, they have to give that person five days to respond as well. The five day email is only sent at the time of processing an individual application if TWU needs further information for that applicant. They are not done processing applications though. I hope I was able to clarify my previous statement.

TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants
I called two days ago. They still are not done processing the applications. Once they are done processing the application, they have to give anyone with issues five days to respond. So, I'm assuming that since we have not heard anything, they did not finish processing this week and we will most likely be waiting to hear back until 3/31. They told me it will definitely be after Spring Break (this week) and before the end of the month.

I don't think it will be the 17th because that is their Spring Break. It's either the 10th or 24th. I'm hoping the 10th. :)

No, that's not what it means at all. It just means they haven't gotten to your application yet to process it. :) You can always make an appointment to speak with an advisor just to ease your mind.

TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants
I believe they send those emails as they process each individual application. At least that is what the admissions office said on the spring 2017 thread. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but you can always schedule an appointment to speak with an advisor to make sure you have everything submitted properly.

I just (this morning) received my e-mail that says my application is processed and that I am eligible for admission consideration.

Yes, and I just confirmed that as long as the titer is positive you are good to go.

You probably got them as a kid but they will need a record of them.

I have the majority of the immunizations necessary. I went and had a Hep B titer done just to make sure I didn't need to do the series again.

Programs in NY for low gpa
I'm applying for a program in Texas. I believe when you retake a class, it shows both on your transcripts. However, the program would choose which one to use when determining eligibility.

Programs in NY for low gpa
Hello RichyK78! The program I am applying for only considers pre-requisites when calculating GPA for entrance. You could always look into other programs around you to see what their requirements are. If it is similar to the program I am applying for then you can always retake classes to improve your GPA. Seven years is a lot of time to do pre-requisites and research nursing programs so time is definitely on your side. I hope this helps and best of luck to you!
