Hi I am in the same situation! I receive the reference check on Wednesday 7/25 and received an email that it was closed for review on 7/30! Have you heard anything yet?

I also interviewed on Monday (7/23) and got an email about references! Which units did you interview for med surg?

I also got an email for an interview for Med Surg as well!

I know it is a requirement, it's basically a "personality test" that the HR looks at I believe, and takes about 30 minutes or so if I remember correctly!

Hi! We did not choose preference, we applied for the DEU (Direct Education Unit) program. Also they ask everyone to do the talent assessment according to the person in charge of the program!

Yes the admitted tab means that you got accepted! I was worried too. There should be a deadline for the deposit. I'm assuming it is around April, if I remember it correctly! As Kevin stated previously, we recommend that you guys create a facebook group! The 1st years are gladly to answer any questions or concerns you have(:

Yes, I know exactly how it felt. My interviewer basically told me that I got in, but I needed the validation by that admitted tab! Just do some self care while you're waiting.

I literally had an anxiety attack a year ago, lol. But Some were "admitted" on Tuesday and I got admitted on Wednesday afternoon. It's just done individually. Do not call the school because they'll tell you that you won't find out online!

Some of us were able to get portals beforehand; however, some didn't have portals at all. USD doesn't celebrate presidents day from what I noticed so we actually had school today. That meant that the graduate department is marking everyone's acceptance one at a time. Some should get their letters this week! PS there will be two letters of acceptances, it's a small envelope so don't freak out.

I definitely recommend you to apply for Fafsa, since they do offer various loans. I currently have USD's grant, graduate plus loan & a unsubidized loan. There will be various of scholarships that will be offered throughout the time you're at USD, and definitely apply to those!

Hello! Congrats on getting an interview for the 2017 cohort! It is an exciting time! I know you're probably anxious and nervous as the rest of us were when we were all in your shoes. The invitation for the interview is a 2-day process: Thursday & Friday. On the first day there will be an orientation and will have a meet & greet with one another, current students & staff. In addition, you will be able to ask current students about their current experiences in the program and any other questions and concerns. On day two, there will be interviews, a tour of the stimulation lab, as well as a financial aid workshop. Interviews are held throughout the day: 9:00-3:00 (from what I remember). I honestly do not remember anything about my interview since my interview was more conversational. However, just be confident. This is the time for you to shine so you can get chosen for the program!
