  1. Hello, congrats on getting thru the 8 courses! how's your overall experience? Would you recommend ? How was the 8 courses & how long did it take you? also how's the didactic portion , I here that's where things can get slowed down? I'm on the fence about the program due to negative reviews. Would love to hear your experience
  2. Have you thought about taking the ANCC ? ... I used Leik , Fitzgerald book, a little board vitals questions which were hard and Cohen review on YouTube passed on my first try. Check out Cohen review, she's an FNP as well, she has interactive videos , questions and monthly zoom calls to see if your ready , if your not ready she will tell you push your date back to study more. When taking the exam don't change your answers. Do all the Leik questions, read the whole book with the Cohen review PowerPoints. Take a break , breath and get back at it you can do it . Goodluck ?
  3. Hello , Hope all is well. I've also applied to Sacred heart post cert pmhnp program . May I email you to ask some questions? Thank you.
  4. For the essay it's 1 page ... I think they give you a question like why do want to be a NP unless it has changed ask the admission counselor about the question. It's a really simple process to get in once you submit everything . Like I said easy getting in but not easy staying in but if you passsed nursing school you got this ! Good luck.
  5. Hello, I know how it feels to look for information & not find answers, so I'm here to help. I graduated from CMSV 2022. It's a good program , be ready to study and manage your work schedule around school especially when you start clinicals. You must be able to teach yourself at times but professors are available if you need extra help thru office hours or email. Yes you need to rent/buy textbooks some professors are very specific like some classes require you to read the textbook. Cons: in person evening classes usually 4-7 or 5-8 once or twice a week; you have to find your own clinical sites but they provide some potentials if you can't find one at all. Overall it was a good program, it was hard at times but it prepared me for boards. I did it working full time , until clinicals I dropped to part time then per diem. The first few course are easy theory / research , but classes you must study for are advanced patho 1&2 , advanced health assessment & advanced pharmacology. Hope I gave you some insight . Good Luck ?
  6. Hey I got accepted to the program as well . From my research the program has been around for 10+ years and yes it’s accredited. It’s a part time program can be completed in 2-2.5 years . It’s a good program from what I hear .
  7. Any input on how’s the FNP program at cmsv ?
  8. Hello, I applied to this school and I wanted to know if anyone has applied to this program as well . I barely see any threads about this school’s FNP program reputation . Any input will be greatly appreciated.
  9. Hey hun u should try Kaplan Qbank, you need the content and test strategies....dedicate 1 month or 2 months review content and do questions. Buy the Kaplan review content guide. Get a notebook write down the questions u get right or wrong down. Read every night and pray every night. Don't use uworld, don't use hurst, don't use ncsbn from a fellow ghanaian . Goodluck hun
  10. I totally understand this. Uworld is nothing like the Nclex in my opinion, it's great to review content but doesn't prepare you for the type of questions Nclex gives. I used Kaplan to passs it was really great it's hard but you have to remain dedicated with it, do all questions, review, watch content videos. I truly felt Kaplan questions helped me passed the nclex give it a try
  11. My school recommended Passpoint not helpful at all... nothing compared to the nclex. I used Kaplan and passed the nclex this Tuesday.
  12. Try Kaplan.... are u strong in content or do u need help with test taking strategies? Or both
  13. Someone pm me but I haven't been active so I can't pm back feel free to comment here...
