  1. Welcome to Facebook Here's the fb page for the fall cohort
  2. JM1092 I messaged you my email address. I'm thinking you can see the message you just can't send?
  3. PICU called about an interview and she said that they are doing interviews through next Tuesday.
  4. @xd94, thank you! The manager called me. I don't know if they are still calling. Luck to you!
  5. Updates, anyone? Any offers? I was offered a position in the ICN yesterday. I'm hoping to get in touch with anyone else who's been selected.
  6. Xd94, it was a peds unit.
  7. @xd94,she got accepted into the may cohort. Should have clarified.
  8. @ xd94, no, I don't. Didn't think to ask. I imagine if there's an offer then we'll get a call from the manager of the recruiter. My friend got a call from the recruiter whe she got her offer. I suppose they'll email if we were not selected.
  9. @ xd94, no, I did not get a tour. I can't wait for next Friday!
  10. End of next week...That's awesome! Thanks for that info. I was told 19, taking 8. Hope we get a spot. Did you get to go on a tour of the ICN?
  11. Happy to help @ xd94! I got mine same day although they meant for me to get it before. Yeah, usually those are done afterwards and one can actually gauge how strong a candidate they are based on that (they won't send one if you're not strongly being considered). I heard some other units at UCSF are doing so, but not ICN, at least not this app round. Good luck tomorrow!
  12. No, they didn't. Again, they are very kind and this maybe will ease the nervousness.
  13. @frederick_design. Fantastic! Congratulations on attaining an interview! I had behavioral questions, some questions about why that unit, etc. You'll have a strong and sincere answer for why that unit. You'll do amazing!
  14. Hi xd94! It was a panel interview, very low key, NICE people!
  15. Hi frederick_design. I'm sorry! I didn't mean to deflate your hope. The interviews for that unit that I mentioned were happening today, Thursday, but that doesn't mean that they won't be interviewing other days. My guess is that they will. Take ICN for example, they are conducting interviews on 3 different days (the 5, 15, and 17-per the manager). Your unique experience has given you a patient perspective that I agree makes you valuable. Even if you don't end up on that unit, you can still use this experience for other units. Don't know how long you've been on the job hunt, but have hope and be positive.
  16. Hi everyone! I applied for many positions but I have recently interviewed for the ICN, my utmost favorite type of nursing. I've been reading on a couple Facebook group pages that people are getting called to interview for adult positions like OR and Oncology, with the interviews happening this week.
  17. Ps. She also said that my app status as "routed," meant nothing. They couldn't tell me if my app was passed on to anyone or whether I even passed the talent assessment.
  18. Hi! I spoke a recruiter last week and she said it's ok to maintain hope to be called for an interview up until end of July. After July just "have little hope." Not the best news. All I can say is keep putting in your apps lots of places, but make sure you tailor each resume and cover letter to the job. And check out Jobscan.
  19. Hey passion4womenshealth, a few of my classmates interviewed and were chosen for the June cohort, but sadly they didn't get their NCLEX results in time for the start date. Luckily their hiring managers understood and pushed back some of their start dates. I say go interview, rock their world, and hopefully you'll get picked up. Don't worry about the ATT just yet. Since they were willing to work with my classmates I can't imagine why they couldn't work with you. In the meantime make sure you paid pearson and that they have your correct email address.
  20. Yes! What I learned from the process is that as soon as the BRN approves your app they will send out electronic notification to PV. If you already registered and paid PV they will email you your ATT as soon as they process the information sent by the BRN. Eventually the BRN also sends you their approval decision notice via snail mail.
  21. Hi Happy_Nurse26, Most of my cohort put in our apps with the California BRN early April. Many of us received our ATTs about May 20th, and some even got their interim permits (those who requested it, at least). I got mine May 22, and I know for a fact that neither mine, nor any of my classmate's final transcripts were in with the BRN then. What lots of us did that helped speed things along was pay Pearson Vue. You see, we were told to wait until the BRN sends you that letter which tells you that you are eligible to test. I eventually got this letter about a week and half after I had already booked my ATT. If you pay your PV then they will automatically email you as soon as they hear from the BRN that you are good to go, as opposed to you waiting on the BRN to give you the go ahead to pay PV. Why would you wait for the BRN? Well, in the event that the BRN doesn't approve you then you would be out the fee you paid PV. Many of us were confident our apps would go through just fine and so we paid PV very early on. One thing I recommend to you is to log into your account with the BRN, open up the app status, and see the date that appears on that pop-up box. I noticed that for a long time the submitted date was that of when I put my app in. However, later I noticed it change to a May date. When I called the BRN they told me that date was the date my app had been approved and that notice was sent to PV telling them of my approval. I had to give it a couple business days for PV to process the information coming from the BRN. Anywho, checking this might tell you if your app has been processed and approved faster than waiting for the approval via snail mail.
  22. Chin up, caligurl331! We'll hear soon enough.
  23. Hi all! Has anyone heard back from LPCH? I'm glad they are respectful of our time to tell us yea or nae. I haven't heard from them yet.
