  1. Thank you sooo much!!! I will definitely use different types of teaching styles in my classroom. I currently teach the Hurst Review so I am familiar with the different types of lecturing. I just would like the class to be a little more interactive. Thanks again!!!
  2. What types of games did you play with your students? I have created a jeopardy game.
  3. Hello, I have been a clinical instructor for nursing students for about 3 years. As a clinical instructor I have overheard some of the students complain about the style of teaching (just being read the material). I have currently accepted a position as full time faculty. I will be teaching Medical-Surgical Nursing (Adult 1) which is the first clinical course. I have been given the lecture notes from the instructors that I will co-teach from. I really want to make my class my own while using the material given. I have developed a Jeopardy game for my first lecture which is fluid and electrolytes. Are there any other ideas for interactive learning that any nursing faculty have incorporated into your classroom that your students loved?
  4. Did you feel your exam was similar to your previous exam?
  5. I will try to find a CCRN book.
  6. How were the questions? Were they more clinical?
  7. Reggaemuffin, Do you have any tips for studying for this exam?
  8. I also had a picture of a tick and patient with suspected Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. That one blew me for a loop. I have Leik's adult gerontology book as well as her app that has questions. There were 32 questions on professional role which were quite easy. A few of them I stumbled on. They are nothing like the ACNN examí ½í¸©
  9. Severe anxiety to the point where I could not stop shaking. I can recite Barkley in my sleep. I also took practice questions. I was able to explain why the wrong answers were wrong. I have 3 X-rays, 2 images of a patient, 2 EKG's. I had a host on leadership and roles. I wish there were more practice questions on professional roles.
  10. Jnewmen434 can you email me what you know? [email protected]
  11. I took my ANCC exam (AG-ACNP) today and failed. I took the Barkley review and felt confident going into the exam. Is there anyone that can help me? My lowest scores were in Professional Roles and Independent Practice. I have bought several practice tests but none really go over professional roles. Please help!!!!!
  12. Hi! I'm planning to take the ACNP-AG exam. Can you email me as well. My email address is [email protected]
  13. I have received my authorization to test. I went to a Batkley review and I listen to his CD's everyday. Do you have any more pointers regarding this exam? I have heard mixed reviews. Also, did you feel Barkley covered enough ethics and research that help you pass your exam?
  14. I too have to take the AGACNP exam with ANCC. If there is anyone who can give me any tips on preparing for this exam, please let me know.
  15. Hello, I recently graduated from a DNP program with a concentration in adult gerontology acute care. I plan to take the ANCC exam. I am extremely nervous. I attended the Barkley review and have been studying his material along with completing practice questions. I am curious if anyone has recently taken this exam. I've read many older comments about the exam and seemed to have gotten mixed information. If there is anyone who has recently taken this particular exam, could you give me some pointers? Very anxious, Dr. KP
