  1. I also had mine yesterday at Children's MH, I'm really not sure how I feel about how it went...I'm very hopeful but I just felt so nervous! I sent thank you emails to each of the ladies I interviewed with and one replied back to me. Good luck to everyone who interviewed yesterday!
  2. Hmm I still haven't gotten anything, I may email her tomorrow and maybe check the status? I'd think I'd at least hear back if it were a no? I don't think I could have done THAT bad on the behavioral assessment! lol
  3. Congrats! Was it by phone call or an email? I still haven't heard anything but I'm still staying hopeful!!
  4. Omg that makes me feel so much better! I was worried maybe I did bad on the assessment lol Hopefully we hear something soon!
  5. Did you get the email to do the behavioral assessment yet? I got that email and did the assessment but haven't gotten my "official" invite to match day, which is next week.
  6. haha Yeah I was pretty surprised when I went and found out THAT day
  7. I thought so, I wasn't expecting to buy everything AT orientation....I believe it was about $450? Maybe less...I just know it was over $400. You get two pants, two blue tops and your clinical top and everything you will need for first semester. It is a lot of stuff, which is why it's so much lol
  8. I received an email today to do the behavioral assessment and the recruiter said Match day will be on October 18th!
  9. Yup :) you will buy all of it at orientation, they let you try on scrubs and you order your supplies then you'll pick it all up like a week before school starts.
  10. That's how my job was, I went from full time to part time when school started but I knew if I wanted to do well I'd have to quit. But i think you have a pretty good chance of getting accepted! It is competitive but your hesi score is pretty high! You should be okay :)
  11. I have, I'm actually in my last semester right now. I worked the first semester but only part time but once I started second semester which was med surg class I quit working to focus on school. Some people still work but I know they've said it's a lot harder. I really think it depends on the type of job you have
  12. Nah I don't mind...My rubric score was 25, overall GPA was 3.2 and I believe my HESI was like an 85? Maybe lower...It's been awhile lol The program is pretty tough but I've been doing pretty well so far. I've maintained my GPA at a 3.3, you just can't slack off...at all! I learned that the hard way and struggled to catch back up lol I know of some people who applied with a GPA below 3.0 and still got accepted though :)
  13. Hey guys! I'm currently in the program and just wanted to give ya'll an idea of when emails could go out, when I applied it was about 2 - 2 1/2 months after the deadline that I got my acceptance letter...but some didn't get theirs until the week before first day of class. : /
  14. Hey! I applied for Children's and Southeast, I received an email today inviting me to the Pre match day open house for MH Children's hospital but that's it so far.
  15. ooh thank you! Haha and I know what you mean, I have a HESI exam and a final next week! It'd just be nice to have something to look forward to!
  16. That's awesome! Congrats! Did they say what day Match day is? Hopefully I get a call soon. I only know of one other person in my cohort that applied but she got an email stating they were moving forward with another candidate.
  17. I applied at children's and Southeast. I actually got an email today for an invite to their pre-match day open house at Children's, Hopefully that's a good sign!! But no phone calls yet.
  18. Hey! I applied as well but I haven't heard anything back. My application status for my first choice says "Application under review" so I'm hoping that means it's good news!
  19. I'm 6 months away from graduation and about to start my summer courses next week. I'm on an accelerated program so it's only 18 months long...I just feel like I should already be feeling like a nurse but I just don't...the thought of graduating and being responsible for a patient scares me. I'm doing well in my classes and clinical, I take the initiative to assess my patients and help with whatever the nurses need/ask me to do. When do you actually start to feel like a nurse? Shouldn't I already feel more prepared by now?
  20. I'm honestly not sure, I know of people who have graduated from there though. You can look on the Texas Board of Nursing website too see their pass rates for the last 5 years.
  21. I think my AP was a 92, 82 in biology 89 in English and a 90 in math. COM was going to be my second choice also, I think you'll be okay...I've heard some people from my program got accepted with making below an 80 on some parts on the HESI.
  22. I'd say you have a good chance to get in. I'm a current San jac nursing student and I applied with a 3.3 GPA as well. However, I've heard with HCC losing their program it's going to get more competitive to get in. :/ Good luck!!
  23. ...and I was really confident going in the test and even after the test was over I felt okay about it. However when my grade posted I got a 74, which is considered a C in my program. I was devastated...I know I should be happy I didn't fail and that I still have the opportunity to do well in the class. We got to look over our test the next day in class and it was embarrassing how easy the ones I missed were, I KNEW the answers...I think I just rushed, or read into the questions or idk. I guess I just need reassurance that this doesn't mean I can't make it through nursing school...I did very well my first semester, I made 2 A's and 2 B's so I feel like I can answer NCLEX questions pretty well :/
