  1. I got my letter, I'm in!! Cohort 4 !! Congratulations @kitkaite and good luck to everyone still waiting on their mail!!
  2. I'm so nervous because I have not finished my SDV 101 class so I hope that doesn't hurt my chances of getting in. That is the only class I have to take. And they say it's a "co-requisite" so hopefully I will be okay
  3. I am in Hampton. My mail usually comes around 1-2 in the afternoon.
  4. Is anyone applying from out of state?
  5. I'm hoping we do too!!! My stomach feels like it's sitting in my chest ahhh!!
  6. Omg I was just about to call, I'm glad you called!! Yes hopefully by the middle of the week we will know something. Fingers crossed!
  7. @britneybutler11 I think that those are good stats! They weigh your grades with points and i believe that the sciences count the most so if you have A's in those then that's even better. I unfortunately have B's in both of my anatomy and microbiology so I'm nervous for myself. Did anyone turn in a letter or recommendation with their application?
  8. I thought about them but it's just so expensive. If I don't get in I'm just going to finish my bachelors at ODU then apply for a PA program once I receive my bachelors!
  9. Just a few more days until the 15th! Which happens to be a Saturday so I'm pretty sure we will found out the following week. Trying to keep very busy at work to pass the time by!!
  10. So will I! Hopefully the bad weather has not delayed the process. Fingers crossed that we found out ASAP. Good luck too you and I will be checking back in with my daily mail updates hahah!
  11. Hello! It's nice to see that there is a thread for the spring 2017 TCC applicants. I have also applied and been waiting very anxiously. The 15th is coming around the corner but from other TCC threads it looked as though they didn't receive their letters until about a week after the 15th which makes me even more nervous! I'm praying that we all get in! I applied for all cohorts, hoping for a day program but evening/weekend will work just as well. Good luck to you all!

  13. Hello! My name is Jada and I have been wait listed for the Sentara 2017 start. I was just wondering did you end up getting accepted into the program? I'm very anxious and they said i could hear somehow between now and December.
  14. That is so awesome! I know you worked very hard and it is well deserved. Good luck on your DNP application, that is what I hope to end up as! I have to learn to be a better at networking because I can be pretty shy when it comes to subjects like that. What course did you find the hardest? Did you feel as though you got to have a lot of clinical hours?
  15. Don't be discouraged! like moca said, there is still a chance! It is way better than a denial letter. I am sure that everything will happen the way it is supposed to. I am nervous now, I wonder when I will receive my letter. I figured that it may be a few days after yours sense I live out of state. MUSC is my dream school as well! It is also nice that they have a fall and spring start opposed to just a spring start. I wish you the best of luck, keep us updated!
  16. Hi! I remember you, I know that may sound weird ahaha but I read your whole thread when you were going through your application process!! How has the program been for you? It so exciting that you are almost done!
  17. Hey! I'm sorry it took me so long to reply! I've been super busy, yes I am currently taking classes and my application status does say partial transcript received. I really like my scribe position, eventually I hope to work in a doctors office so this is a great experience for me. I am a scribe for an orthopedic doctor. Have you found any scribe jobs so far?
  18. I am about a year and a half shy of one as well. But man that is horrible that you weren't able to finish:( at least you have a lot of volunteer hours in a hospital! I actually just got a job as a medical scribe in an orthopedic office. I think you will get in though!
  19. I know what you mean! I read a whole thread from the spring 2015 applicants on this website!í ½í¸« I have not contacted them since it hasn't been too long but I really want to. I will give it another 4 weeks before I contact them! I check my application status all the time as well! What kind of volunteer work do you have? Also, do you have a bachelors degree already? I do not and I'm afraid that might set me back along with my volunteer hours and essay.
  20. Hey Lucas! Your stats are looking great!! I'm just really nervous about my volunteer hours because my science GPA is not the highest. But there is nothing I can do about it now other thank to wait! I was going to wait to apply for the spring semester but since they accept two applications a year I just decided that I would apply for the fall as well because I would really love to start this fall. I am currently in chemistry and it is not my favorite subject haha but it is still an interesting course. Microbiology was probably my favorite course out of all the science that I have taken. Good luck to you and I hope to hear from you !
  21. Hello everyone!! My name is Jada and I am an aspiring nursing student! I currently live in Virginia and I just applied for the fall 2016 accelerated BSN program at Medical University of South Carolina! I know I'm early in starting this forum but I'm so excited and anxious already to find out about acceptance. I was hoping to meet people, in state and out of state, who also will be applying to MUSC for the fall 2016 start and see how everyone's stats are so far. I currently have about a 3.1 in my science gpa:(, and a 3.4 for my overall gpa. I do not hold a bachelors degree in any other subject. I currently work as a sitter in the hospital but worked as a nurse aide in a nursing home for 8 months. I volunteered in the hospital but was only able to work 25 hours over the holiday break because my school and work schedule are so hectic right now. I really am hoping and praying to get into MUSC, it's my number one! Looking forward to hearing from everyone!
