  2. Pretty much look at the jobs available if they say graduate of an accredited school as of now wolford is not accredited by sacs which is a new coa requirement. I turned my interview there down and got into fgcu. They told me they were getting a visit from sacs but they still haven't come. I know two graduates they highly suggested against this institution. Word of advice.
  3. I believe next year I think all interviews are done June and July of this year and they already have students and alternates.
  4. So I was accepted to fgcu crna program. I'll preface this with I'm not a genius or God I just work hard to achieve success in life. Having said that there is doubts about my intellectual ability self doubt that is. I wanted to run my academic plan by you guys. I am already reading chemistry and physics and just bought the anatomy and physiology book they said to. I'm reading them and then writing a synopsis of what I read. The rest of the summer is dedicated to those books then come January when we start I will be asking people to help me understand the mathmatics of the physics and seeing if a professor will sit with me maybe and hour or two a week to rehash subjects and help me understand 1st a deeper level. I will follow that route throughout school and all the while having a study group to lean on as well with fellow students. I am anticipating about 6 to 10 hours a day off days of studying. And about 4 hours during school days and clinicals. Any other suggestions ? I'm scared to death to fail
  5. Big pap can I get your email I would like to talk to you.
  6. Yes however that is why anesthesia school is hard. However they have low attrition rates and wouldn't accept people that they don't think could make it. I got accepted with a 3.3 overall. They won't leave you behind.
  7. Yes I was accepted
  8. Got the call about two hours ago. Anyone else get one
  9. the last day on my email to interview was today. So I'm assuming that is the last interview dates.

  13. My stats are 3.3 gpa 3.7 science organic chem genetics. Gre 301 1 year sicu Neuro icu micu.
  14. June 20th don't let people scare you if I can get an interview anyone can. It's all about letters of recommendation and your self preservation. I wrote a deep heart felt statement to them and I believe that is why I got an interview.
  15. Hey my name is josh I sent mine in and Monday afternoon got an email for an interview. Anybody wants to communicate my email is [email protected]
  16. Hello all my name is josh, I was informed today that I had been selected to be interviewed for the January start date in 2017. I could not be more excited and ecstatic than I am right now. I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about their interviewing process and what types of questions will be asked. Stats are 3.3 overall 3.7 science organic chem genetics extras. Nurse in sicu and Neuro icu level 3 trauma center, currently at bay medical center in panama city which is level two. Gre of 301. Thanks for viewing and any responses -josh if anyone else wants to communicate my email is [email protected]
  17. Well thank you for the kind words everyone I feel slightly better now. I also have been getting 124 right out of 150 in the barrons ccrn book so maybe I'll have that in time.
  18. Already applied now just awaiting letters to be sent in
  19. Thanks pappa, I think I covered most of that with all the schools minus wolford of course since they aren't accredited and ran by a med group.
  20. In my opinion a strong program has a history of a few things: low attrition rate over a 5-10 year period, high pass rate for first time test takers, good reputation among students, good reputation among local and participating clincal sites, and lastly accreditation is 5-10 years. But that is just my opinion
  21. I appreciate the replies ladies and gents
  22. Forgot I also have organic chem and genetics.
  23. Hello, My name is Josh and I'm here to gauge my competitiveness for crna school. My stats are as follows: gpa 3.3 science gpa 3.63 gre 301 pending ccrn this summer I believe in July is when I'm eligible. I'm currently in sicu and Neuro icu two different units but I float to help our boss out with nurses which we are short on, I started in Neuro and transferred to sicu to gain a better position for school. I currently will have a year in one month and have applied to fgcu, wolford (awaiting accreditation) will be applying to twu, fsu, and mtsa. I understand I can't compete with a gpa of 3.9 but I also worked full time while in school and provided for me and my parents. I generally on a weekly basis care for ventilators, vasoactive drips, invasive monitoring such as cvp and art lines. In Neuro I can do ventric drains and icp monitoring as well as titrate those drips. I got a surgery resident supervisor and rn to do my letters and a crna I shadowed for 40+ hours. Do I realistically have a shot ? Thanks in advance- Josh
  24. Hey guys sicu Neuro icu nurse here. I got a 301 I haven't seen any scores posted but I feel like that maybe considered a weakness for me since it seems so low, on the other scale its like 1120. What day you guys?
