  1. Hey, Im also studying for NCLEX. I think NCLEX Mastery is great for content, but I feel like if I knew the content better then the questions would be entirly too easy. I personally perfer Uworld questions and rationals but I am using both so I can get a solid content base.
  2. Right after this post I got a response lol!
  3. Yes, I should probably do that. I have never dealt with HR before and I don't want to mess up this potential opportunity. Thank you.
  4. Hi everyone. I just wanted to hear some feedback. I am graduating from my ADN program next month and after putting in many applications, I have officially scored my first interview! It is for a PCU/telemetry new grad residency position. The recruiter emailed me on Thursday with times for an interview and I set it up for April 4th at 11:30. My problem is after I set the time and date she requested that I send a link to 2 of my clinical instructors to fill out a quick reference form prior to the interview. I sent the link to 4 instructors that I am in good standing with just in case. Well, I have only heard back from 1 instructor which is the one from my ICU rotation. We are on spring break now and it was also a holiday weekend so I am sure that has played a role in the delay. My question is what should I do if I do not get 1 of the other 3 instructors reference before Wednesday?
  5. I am entering my last semester in the Essex program. I like it. I have heard Catonsville is overall a bit more organized but I was acceped with a 3.5 and an 81% on the Reading section on the Teas V. I was accepeted with a C in A &P 2, granted that was the only C on my transcript. Good Luck!
  6. You will get it back once the semester starts. I don't remember exactly when. I got mine as a refund check
  7. Yes please dont waste your money buying the newest editions. The only things that may be different are the page numbers and a few pictures. I just bought my mental health text book for $30 bucks compared to $120. I totally would let you have my books but I still think we need them, sorry :/
  8. Hey! Almost all of the books you buy are used throughout the entire program. Other than that all I can tell you is that they have changed the way they teach fundamentals after our semester (fall 2016). We basically screwed it up for everyone else lol. The 1 credit class will seem like a waste of time (and I think it is) but do not bs it because alot of people ended up failing because they set that class aside. Most people have no problem with health assessment, it is preety straight forward whether you take it at ccbc or if you are ATB. Also PLEASE if you do not know APA format learn it now!! Ccbc does NOT play when it comes to APA, you will use it for everything.. papers... clinical work .. etc. They take off alot off points for that. Let me know if you have any other questions!
  9. Hey, I'm entering my 3rd semester. Can you give me some insight! I have literally heard nothing about concepts 2 and the other classes lol. Thanks!

  11. Hey, they are going to tell u that you need the latest addition of each book, but don't pay attention to that lol. The only book I would keep up with is the drug guide.
  12. Yup! I saw a seat fee about an hour before I got my acceptance email!
  13. You have to have a proficient overall. If you don't you prob won't even get looked at. Other than that he only score they care about is reading . Reading comprehension is key in nursing school.
  14. It depends on the pool. I know that preety much everyone who meets the requirments usually at least gets waitlisted. From there they take into account if you have had to repeat courses. I had around a little less than a 3.5 gpa upon application and a 75 % on my teas. (81% in reading).
  15. Good luck guys! I am finishing up Concepts 1 and starting Maternal newborn in 2 weeks. Time really does go by fast !!
  16. I am in the Essex day program. Definitely doable. I love it. All of the instructors are awesome and the lab instructors are even better. There is open lab every single day. You really do have to ajust to the style of testing. The information right now it not very difficult but the amount can be very overwhelming. The various dates and assignments can creep up on you if you are not on top of it. Also that 75% test average can really haunt you. We have one class where you only have 2 tests. So you can only imagine how stressful that is lol. I'll be happy to answer any more questions :)
  17. Congrats you all! I am a few days away from hitting the halfway mark of the first semester. We start clinicals next week! My how time flies!!
  18. White scrub top with Ccbc patch & Royal blue pants with all white shoes. I'm preety sure they are the same!
  19. I haven't started my program yet, but we have that policy in our orientation booklet.
  20. Yup I could have applied for fall 2015 but I wanted to boost my gpa & took forever to take the TEAS lol
  21. Hey, I was just accepted for this fall 2016. I got a 75% on the teas. 81 in reading, 86 in grammar. 66 in math and 69 in science. My Science Gpa was a 2.95 and overall a 3.45. My only C in my prereqs was in A&p 2. I didn't have any extracurricular but i did accumulate over 60 credits so I think that helped. I took courses like nutrition, ethics, health etc to help boost my gpa while I was waiting to apply and Made all A's.
  22. I understand ,I took a 3 credit Cpr, First aid & safety course through CCBC last semester. I was aware it may not be be acceptable but I still want to find out. On CCBC's webite it says *or approved equivalent* and I didnt know what that meant.
  23. Sorry I meant the uniforms lol. And do you know who I can contact to find out if my cpr is approved?
  24. How much are they? And can you use financial aid for them or is that out of pocket? Preety sure you can't but just wanted to know.
  25. Mee too!!! Lol ain't nobody taking my seat[emoji23]
