  1. I got into Seattle U also, and I'm having such a difficult time choosing! I just love the feel of Seattle U and I know I would love their program, it's just the money that's making me lean towards UW. It's a really difficult decision since their both great programs and they both have their own perks.
  2. I got in! To be honest, I was expecting a denial. I have a 3.98 GPA, 2 years of experience volunteering at Evergreen, and 6 months working as a caregiver at a retirement home. I'm only 19 though and am graduating this year with my high school diploma and DTA, so I thought that might work against me. I was surprised to see that you have to commit so early, I thought we had until May 1st.
  3. Congratulations to all of you who were accepted or wait listed, that's such a huge accomplishment! I'm about to leave to go tour Seattle U, but hopefully my letter will be here when I get home. The wait is killing me!
  4. I'm so happy I got accepted to Seattle U, but it's the price that's making me unsure! I'm definitely waiting till I hear back from UW. I believe UW is only about $12,000 per year. At Seattle U, I'd be living on campus, and with the scholarships I received it'd be about 28,000 a year. :/
  5. I'm so happy to find this thread! The wait has been killing me, best of luck to all of you. :)
  6. Just got my letter for an interview at WSU! The anticipation is killing me though for UW and Seattle U, I really hope we find out this week.
  7. Lol talk about pressure! I got there half an hour early and was left to just sit there feeling nervous surrounded by competition. It went better than I expected, thank goodness it's over!
  8. Did you guys notice how he said there were only 92 spots open? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought UW accepts 94 students; does that mean that 2 people automatically got admitted? I'm sure they're on top of the world right now!
  9. I got an email this morning!! I hope you guys did too! I definitely was not expecting to get invited, so this is a pleasant surprise. :)
  10. I applied to the campus in Spokane! Honestly I'm just so relieved to have all my applications finished. I'm sure I don't have nearly as much experience as other applicants, but I have about 240 hours volunteering at a hospital and about the same amount as a caregiver at a retirement home. What about you guys?
  11. Thanks for all the responses guys! I just wish it wasn't so expensive, but everywhere around me it costs $80/90 to take it... So, I don't really feel like it's worth it. Plus I don't feel like I have enough time to really study the science section to improve my score. I guess I'll settle for the 80 and hope for the best! And AFNurse2b13 I think I will email them to see if I get those stats so I can make a more informed decision (:
  12. So I know everyone is going to say it depends on the school, but I'm applying to Washington State University's nursing program and they don't specify their average or anything. The only thing they say is, "Prospective students must score at the Proficient, Advanced, or Exemplary Level to be eligible for admission." I placed at advanced, but I only have a month before my scores must be received if I decide to retake it. I go 92.9% in reading, 93.3% in math, 60.4% in science, and 80% on English usage. So science really brought me down. I have a 3.98 GPA. ANY ADVICE?
  13. I just got back from my test! Overall, I did much better than I thought I would. Especially since I only studied 1 day. I got 93% reading, 93% math, 60% science , and 80% English and Language use. For math, I studied from this website: https://uniontestprep.com/teas/study-guide/mathematics/pages/1 Know how to do everything on here and you're in great shape! No surprises there. Science was just all over the place, I got a 4.0 in all my sciences, but there was just too much to remember. I'd suggest looking over as much science as you can... Some of the questions were super easy and simple concepts, but other ones were like, "How the hell am I supposed to remember that?" I'm considering retaking it since now I know I need to focus on science. Good luck to you all and it's really not as bad as you think it'll be. Worst case scenario, take it again.
  14. Hi guys! I can't believe I'm in the process of applying to nursing school... the past few years went by so quickly. I'm also applying to Seattle U and WSU, what about you guys?
