  1. I know this is a later reply, but since I am also looking for this, I thought I would share the info I have found. First of all, there is a combo class of inorganic/organic/biochem that is offered by Moorpark College and it is accepted by USC. So far, I have not found an online version. UC Berkeley Extension offers online classes, but again, not in combination. Please let me know if you have found something better!!!! Thanks and good luck!
  2. Congrats dparn! Are you local? Sadly, I was rejected, but not to worry, I don't live in a tall building or near a bridge ;-) Best of luck to everyone still waiting and keep the rest of us poor saps updated with your awesome qualifications so that we can do better next time around!!
  3. Let's see, stats.... 6 years experience, last 4 in ICU, most recently cardiac surgery ICU (valves/CABG/transplant/etc) ADN with honors, BSN Summa Cum Laude CCRN-CSC (cardiac surgery certification, a subspecialty of CCRN) TNCC ACLS instructor bilingual project leader on IPE (improving patient experience) committee long-time volunteer I know some of these things don't seem that note-worthy, but I feel like this is what KP, specifically, looks at. I know they strongly prefer bilingual candidates and I have heard they really look at your community service as well. Sorry for the delay in responding! Good luck to everyone!
  4. Hello everyone! I know this thread is a bit old, but I'm hoping someone will still be around to help me with an answer First, congrats to those that got in! I'd love to hear how you are doing 1 year in! Second, can you share with us hopefuls what the interview was like? What is this "group part" that you mention, and what did it entail? Third, for those of you who moved in from out of state with kids, where did you settle? While I am local, I will be slightly relocating my family and would appreciate first-hand community recommendations! Thanks in advance!!
  5. Merry Christmas everyone! I was wondering if anyone on this thread has interviewed at KP before? It would be awesome to hear some tips!!
  6. Thanks so much! I have lived here 5 years :)
  7. Thanks so much! I've lived here 5 years :)
  8. OMG OMG!!!! Haha, this board was my lucky charm I guess! I just got an email telling me I have an interview!! My friend still hasn't gotten one, but maybe this means they will go out before Christmas! My interview is scheduled for Feb. 4th. Good luck everyone! Hope to meet some of you there!
  9. Hello all!! I also applied to the KP CRNA program and haven't heard a word. From my internet "research", it looks like last year's people didn't hear until mid-January, so... This is my first time applying and I'm extremely nervous about the interview, should I get one. My friend interviewed last year and said they had a group of applicants work together on a trauma simulation and they were asked things like what IV fluids you would give and why, at what dose you would start Dopamine, when and by how much would you increase the dose, etc. Anyway, if anyone gets an email, please share so that the rest of us can spend every waking hour obsessing!!!! Thanks!
