Hey Jared, It went well. They essentially told me I was in, but I haven't gotten the letter in the mail. We looked at a few different places to live and were quite pleased with all of them. Where we live is where are kids will be in the best situation. We are very likely going to a different program though. We liked Florida a lot but there are too many things pointing us toward California. We may change our minds but I doubt it. Good luck to you and enjoy beautiful Naples for me while I'm stuck in LA traffic!

We have four children as well and will almost certainly pick Kaiser. If you can't open your pm because you need more posts I think you can send me one with your email address and/or phone number. We would love to have some contact with others as we start this journey together!

Who else is heading to Kaiser this Fall? I haven't put down my deposit yet. One more interview next week, but I will be surprised if I don't end up at Cal State. I kind of like the group interview part. It was good for them to see us using our clincal knowledge as a team. Good luck to the rest of you and check your emails. What a cool experience! That was by far the most relaxed interview panel I have seen. Even with such a large group interviewing it was the least intimidating interview thus far. I felt really good about it! We should hear back by the end of the month.

Hey Guys, I finally got my invitation to interview. My wife and I are flying out the end of this month. I think we will be looking at some real estate while we are out there. I have had some suggestions from others that have attended the program as to where to live. They both loved where they lived and had great things to say about the schools. When I look up their areas I see that there are higher ranking schools in the close vacinity. We are basing a lot of where we choose to live off of school rankings, but from the people I have talked to, Naples is just an overall great place to live. I am slightly concerned that this lawsuit could potentially cause Wolford to prematurely shut their doors. I sure hope not, but I'm not too excited to get part way done and have it close. have you guys heard anything concerning this being a possiblity? The things the lawsuit represents do not bother me at all, but if Wolford decides to cut it's losses that would suck.

I work mostly at Salt Lake Regional. I have also worked at the VA, Jordan Valley, and Davis hospitals. A travel assignment is not a bad idea. I haven't looked into that much, but it sounds like a good option in order to get out there sooner.

Thanks! We are pretty excited to interview at Kaiser. Something is still drawing me toward Wolford. I haven't interviewed yet. I just finished my last Chem so I am sending updated transcripts tomorrow. Hopefully I can interview in February so I can make an informed decision if I am so lucky as to get into both programs. That would be cool to have a fellow student from utah! I live in Layton and work in Salt Lake. Hopefully I hear from Wolford soon!

Did you guys interview in December or January?

Hey Jared, I am hoping to hear back soon from Wolford. I have an interview with Kaiser next month. We are hoping to get into both then decided which way to go according to how we felt about each program after the interviews. I too am from Utah and have four children. Congratulations to you and maybe I will be seeing you this fall!

Any other words of wisdom about Kaiser? Any others headed out to interview? I guess I am anxiously excited to get this process rolling! Anyone else out there feeling like a youth anticipating their first kiss?

I will be there on the 13th of February. Hopefully we will get to know each other well this Fall!
