@apisha Congrats!! That's great news! When they called me to offer me a summer spot I asked if I can instead be put into the Fall cohort. The advisor then looked at my points and said I have 34 points which is competitive so yes I should be expecting acceptance into the Fall cohort, which I did receive. So, what are you thinking of doing?

@KO_1219 That's awesome! You got into a lot of programs. Congratulations! I don't know if you have visited the USD campus but it is gorgeous. It is pretty expensive though like you mentioned. I hope you hear something soon from CSUSM. San Diego is awesome so you'll love it down here if you relocate :)

I am totally accepting the offer of admission because this is the only ABSN program I applied to/wanted to attend lol. It was a risk to only apply to one program but I live in San Diego and wanted to stay here for school to save money. I also got my bachelor's from CSUSM so the school is familiar to me. What about you? Is this program one of your top choices to attend?

Thank you!! I just checked my portal right now and it changed from No pending applications” to showing a Fall 2016 ABSN incomplete application but there is nothing in my to do list. I think maybe you did get accepted too since yours changed like mine. Did you receive any call or email? The person that called me said that she is currently working on my admission portal right now and the acceptance won't be processed until 24 hours. If I haven't received an acceptance email by then, I should call her back tomorrow.

So I just received a call from the office and they said congratulations I am accepted into the fall 2016 program and that in order for them to officially admit me, they have to first send me a letter saying that I applied to the fall program and then I will receive an acceptance letter in about 24 hours.

My advisor told me last month that acceptance letters should be out by 4/8 and to look out for it but I haven't received anything yet so I'm confused. I just called the office and they told me to email my advisor to ask. I just emailed him and I will update you all on what he says. It sounds like we may have to wait a couple more weeks before knowing. Hopefully we will all hear good news soon! Did you email your advisor or did you talk to her on the phone? @apisha

Hey @apisha , No the advisor said April 8 they are most likely going to send them out. I will post on here if I hear anything new. Also, there are no changes in my student portal.

@apisha The advisor called me today and asked me if I wanted to start in the summer semester but I told him I would prefer fall instead. He said that to acceptance letters for fall should be out by April 8.

@apisha I talked directly to the advisor last week. When I called extended learning office, they transferred my call to him because they didn't know the answer to my question. Idk if it is guaranteed but he looked at the ranking sheet and he told me that I should be expecting one. I got 34 points and I noticed someone recently got 33 points and already received an acceptance letter so I am kinda worried on why I didn't get mine yet. I was going to call after March 18 if I didn't receive acceptance yet. When you call, you should ask to talk to the advisor about the status of your application. The office also told me today that the fall 2016 cohort will not be filled up until after March 18. The wait is stressful

@apisha My application says that too when I log into my.csusm.edu I called the office last week and asked them about it and they told me that it's because I applied for summer 2016 originally but I didn't meet the priority date and since that semester application is now closed, it says that my application is no longer pending in the CSUSM portal. They said but my application is still open though and I talked to the advisor and he said that I am suppose to get an acceptance letter by March 18. What semester did you originally apply for?

@apisha They also told me the same thing.. to wait until at least March 18 for acceptance letters to be emailed. I know the wait is stressful, especially that we know that a few people have already received their acceptance letters. I hope the best for us! Also, I noticed this forum is in the "online nursing school" section. Since you created this forum, do you think you can move it to the "general nursing student" section so that more people that are applying/accepted can find this forum?

@apisha call the csusm extended learning office. Their phone numer is listed online on their website. They forwarded my call to the advisor.

@apisha I applied in January for Summer 2016 and received my evaluation at the end of January. I received 34 points and I talked to the advisor last week and he said the summer cohort is full and for me to expect an acceptance letter for fall 2016 some time before March 18.

@achurley Thank you for letting us know that. I am still crossing my fingers that I can get into the summer cohort. The advisor said I have competitive points but students that applied by the priority deadline before November got first choice. I couldn't finish by application by then because I had a prerequisite still in progress and just finished it in December. Still hoping there will be some open seats some time soon..

@karinsity Just wondering when did you submit your application and all of the documents?
