Would you choose nursing again or another health profession?
If there were an AllPhysicalTherapists, AllOccupationalTherapist, AllPharmacists website you would find people whinging there about the work conditions, boss, workload, etc. The grass is never greener on the other side. I've seen people whinge about having a boring but simple job at a desk. People want to have goals and some level of challenge. The problem is that we all have to squeeze each other in the game of being cost efficient. What I don't particularly like is doing unpaid work in my own time. School Teachers do this all the time. Life is too short for that. Most of the allied jobs the OP posted are small in employment size in comparison to nursing. That's why you always hear of people from say a trained psychologist go back to school to become a nurse. It's one thing to be trained, it's another to be employed. I liked my time as a can kicking CNA.

I think 90 years old is pushing it in regards to being a nursing student so I think you should be okay!

Depression from nursing, looking for input?
I think it is disappointing to hear that nurses, who are the bedrock of a hospital, need to be on anti-depressant medicines. It boggles my mind also when I see nurses standing outside the hospital building having a smoke since many of the patients are in the hospital because of that practice.

Didn't make it.
It's not the paycheck that I want. It's what the paycheck can bring me. In other words, I can't build a house out of paychecks nor eat paychecks.

Should we put up with verbally aggressive relatives ?
School Teachers are professionals like Registered Nurses but often do not have the recourse to call for back up from management or security. You can't keep calling for the School principal's help when you have a handful of unruly children in a basic mathematics class. At least hospitals have security monitoring the area constantly. I would tell the families in this instance that they are being served and to be patient. Actually, I'd tell the relatives to do the job and take over.

Parenteral and Enteral differences
Hi, I was looking at the definitions for Parenteral and Enteral. ENTERAL: "Involving or passing through the intestine, either naturally via the mouth and oesophagus, or through an artificial opening. Often contrasted with parenteral." PARENTERAL: "Administered or occurring elsewhere in the body than the mouth and alimentary canal: Often contrasted with enteral." By Enteral's definition including an artificial opening, it makes it a whole like Parenteral since it is occurring elsewhere in the body than the mouth and alimentary canal. That is confusing.

How hard is the maths to become a Registered Nurse?
Hello, I live in Australia. I am wanting to know how difficult the mathematics is in a Bachelor of Nursing degree? Is the mathematics component going to be insurmountable for me? I've never really a mathematics person but I am willing to learn. What mathematics do Registered Nurses use?
