  1. Yeah, I used the former one. I also noticed the orientation packet one is different. I'm hoping they'll take either.
  2. This is info from the SON website: 3. If the titer for a specific disease shows that you're not immune, you need to get vaccinated or re-vaccinated (also known as getting a booster). Note: This is where previous vaccination records are helpful. Vaccinations for different diseases have different timelines and numbers of shots needed (ex. Varicella -2 shot series 4-6 weeks apart vs. Hep B-3 shot series over 6 months). If a specific titer indicates non-immunity, then your physician (or the Nursing Department) can direct you on next steps for vaccination. 4. Once vaccinated, titers should not be drawn until 6-8 weeks after the vaccination. Why? If drawn too soon afterwards, the titers will indicate non-immunity as the vaccine will still be in your system. Don't make the mistake of getting a titer drawn prematurely Hope this helps :)
  3. ^Yes this Qualitative titers will simply say immune/non-immune while quantitative titers give a number to indicate the level of immunity/nonimmunity. If you don't see numbers next to your titers results, it's not quantitative.
  4. Yeah, they make it pretty clear they won't take qualitative. Sadly you'll have to get them redone.
  5. I read on the website that for fall students if we didn't get the flu shot earlier this year that we should put a missing document form in the online tracker, but I'm pretty sure my pharmacy has the flu vaccine available right now, so I can get it now and have it count for this fall season right?
  6. I picked the 25th too :)
  7. Fall 2016 information is up on the website
  8. Well our first capstone is nutrition for nursing and you have to be in the nursing program to take it. So they may just sign us up for that class too, I'm not sure though.
  9. It looks like we can start signing up for Soar on April 12. Anyone know which day they're gonna sign up for? I think I'm gonna go July 25.
  10. I unfortunately live over in San Bernardino county. I have a feeling I'm gonna have a hard time finding many students that live near me
  11. Is there no option to accept your admissions on your MyCalStateLa?
  12. Thanks! My stats were higher for LB because I used two different TEAS results. CSULA: Prereq gpa - 4.0 = 10 pts Cumulative gpa - 3.95 = 5 pts Teas Reading - 77 = 3 pts Teas English - 99 = 5 pts Hospital Experience - 0 Total - 23 pts CSULB: Prereq gpa - 3.78 = 1.89 pts Science gpa - 4.0 = 4 pts TEAS overall - 98.7% = 1.974 pts TEAS math - 100% = 2 pts Total - 9.86 pts
  13. Congrats to everyone that got in! I was waitlisted, but I'm choosing CSULB's program anyway so hopefully that'll bump some of you up on the waitlist :)
  14. Hopefully we'll get our follow up e-mail soon, I don't know when though. The acceptance letter said orientation will be on June 3rd and it looks like last spring semester had orientation from 9am-4pm, but our times for fall may be different.
  15. On the right side of the screen there should be a box labeled "to do list"
  16. Oh, yeah it's probably different for 2nd degree students. If you don't have an e-mail or to do list asking for your transcript you should be fine not having to send one in, though you could contact admissions if you're really worried about it
  17. It asked for me to send my transcript within 30 days of my admissions offer on the admissions e-mail and it was on my to do list on mycsulb. Double check both of those.
  18. Ah, well it looks like the most recent ones are white tops with dark bottoms
  19. Here's a decent picture of the uniforms:
  20. I believe they are white
  21. Oh, I know, they just made it sound like they themselves were requesting the transcripts from my CC... I already ordered my transcripts to be sent though, so I'm covered either way :)
  22. Yeah, it wasn't on my to do list either but I just clicked the link on the bottom of the page as well. Did anyone else have Csulb say they were electronically requesting your transcript from your previous college on your behalf? I didn't know they did that...
  23. I heard that they'll sell all the nursing books we need for the program at orientation in a bundle. Is this true? And do you know how much they'll cost? Yeah, I know they'll probably tell me in the e-mail, but I'm impatient...
  24. Here's a link to it: Schedule of Classes
