    I am in the same boat Stephanie,. I have an MS but it has nothing to do with nursing and I graduated 11 years ago so the pre reqs do not apply. Will you have to take everything over again? I am finding out as well that GPA matters also. The field is so competitive! Do you have to take a placement test?

    I am considering a career in nursing. I have an advanced degree in science but I am not happy in my field since it is very competitive and pays rather bad. Starting salaries for phd holders are around $35K. Nursing always attracted me because of the human factor. How long does it take usually to finish nursing school and what are the starting salaries? Is it easy to get a position once you are done?
