Is this real life?
Thank you for the encouragement. Most days I have a very positive attitude towards my future career. I know what I ulimately want to do in nursing (L&D), and have worked in that field as a doula. Sometimes the weight of the true respponsiblity hits me though, or the knowledge that I will see truly terrible things that the majority in my life won't be able to handle me unlouding on them, and I wonder if I can with stand carrying it all. I'm a rather silver lining type person. Comments like this remind me that I won't be in it alone, that I'll have fellow nurse that will understand and be there for me when I see negative out comes.

Am I the only one that reads post on here and sometimes thinks 'oh man, am I really cut out for this?!?!" ...Yes? Oh okay. Excuse me while I go sit in a corner and give myself a pep talk.

Am I ready for nursing school?
Don't go after a degree you don't really want. I graduated high school knowing I wanted to be a nurse, but didn't think I was smart enough so I spent 3 and a half years working on a history degree only two be put on probation and the suspension. I took 4 years off and went back for nursing. Those four years gave me the chance to mature, figure out a lot about myself, and be in a life position to where when I went back I'd be successful. My advice would be to focus on yourself for a bit, get healthy, and then maybe revisit nursing. Maybe it'll be something you want, and maybe you'll find a different passion along the way!

Charliebarlie, I'm a stay at home mommy of two girls that are 3 and 18 months My job calls for a lot of patience, and all that patience is being tested right now!! I think the next 4 hours and 15 minutes will probably be harder than actually waiting for the letter to come in:dead:

My mail either is running late or I didn't get my letter today. Someone up the street has a flag up, so I'm hoping that means it just hasn't run yet.

My mail doesn't run until around 1:30, so I've still got at least another 3 hours until it gets here. However, I want my husband to be home when I open it and he won't be home until around 8 tonight. Sooooooo I've still got forever.

I think it's everyone over the cut off gets sent to admission for gpa, then after gpa anyone who qualifies they look at t land the top people get picked. So like if there were two people who had the same gpa, but one had a teas score of 107.2 and the other has a score of 107.3 they pick the high point person, if that makes sense.
