  1. @BrittanyGn no problem! yeah I applied everywhere around socal!! like everywhere I was willing to commute to basically. My waitlist at cypress was also 1.5-2 years!! I applied with them october 2017, so earlier than LATTC. I think waitlists are averaged at 2 years honestly, due to students not resubmitting applications or straight up declining. and I totally get the whole psyching out thing. I would call and ask all the time what my status is and what to expect if chosen. yes I'm almost a year in! feel free to DM me on my instagram @ matchanurse if u have other questions so I don't blow up this thread ?
  2. @BrittanyGn hey girl no worries! I get email notifications from this site LOL. I applied to LATTC May 2018 and they contacted me Feb 2020 for a spot in their Fall 2020 cohort. girl if u do the math, that was like 1 year and 8 months ish for me so practically 2 years wait. I rejected that spot because I accepted Cypress college which I was also on their waitlist system! Luckily I got in for Jan 2020. I don’t want you to get discouraged! Being on a waitlist is hard, but for me the wait time was fine since I worked, took classes and kept myself busy. I was super like SUPER consistent being so annoying following up on my application every 3 months with the schools I was waitlisted on. they give out an estimated start date and sometimes they tell you what number you are. depends on who is working. but hang in there girl. the wait wasn’t really that long now that I look back!! hopefully that answers some things!
  3. Hi all, this is an old thread and you all are probably graduated! How long was the step-up program at CSULB? I cannot find any info on how long this step-up program is. Compared to the RN-BSN that is 2 years, this step-up program is shorter, yes? I know CSUF and CSULA early start programs for ADN students allow the student to graduate with their BSN in 1 year. Was this also true for those who completed the step-up program at CSULB? Thank you!
  4. Hi everyone, I am in another nursing program this Spring semester and rejected my spot for LATTC Fall 2020 via the survey link. I received an email to fill out the survey today at 4pm and declined my spot. I submitted my application May 31, 2018. I hope this gives an idea to those who are still waiting. Best of luck and the wait will be over. Lots of students end up forfeiting their spot from what I’ve heard.
  5. Congrats to everyone that got accepted! I didn’t get selected this time. Been waitlisted since Spring 2018 so technically what will be 2 years now for me. For those who are waitlisted, do you know how far you are on the waitlist? The receptionist who took my application this year was kind enough to let me know my place, but she said “less than 40” so I don’t know the exact number. She even went far to say I should expect an acceptance email next year and she sounded sure of it. I’m not sure how many students from the waitlist they accept each term? Anyways I hope we get in for Fall 2020.
  6. Does anyone know what the schedule for the nursing program looks like? Is it Monday thru Friday or Monday thru Thursday?
  7. I visited LATTC last week Thursday and spoke to Angel as she was working the front desk. She said she'll have a final roster of Spring 2020 students by October 1st. So I'm assuming letters for Spring 2020 will be sent out end of September like the last commenter said. She mentioned not everyone responded back to her survey email she sent out in August and is still going down the list to complete the 50 student cohort. She said she's reaching to students who applied Feb-Mar 2018. Hang tight y'all! Almost there.
  8. @Jay1212 I think you should have gotten an email from LATTC regarding the survey the previous users have just received since they have applied after you. Check your inbox and spam? Also try emailing Roshell (she's better at responding) and also email Angel since she is the one gathering the cohorts every semester. I have no luck calling as well, but I get responses when I email Roshell and Angel. Explain them your situation and when you applied.
  9. Thanks for the information! I'm hoping I can get in sooner than Fall 2020, but will not mind if that's what it comes to. Fingers crossed!! I'm excited for you all to finally get your letters!!
  10. @george.s Congrats on being one step closer to starting the program in Spring! I did not get an email so must mean I have to wait more. I'm curious though, can you share what the survey email said? Did it ask questions like, "are you in a nursing program now" because I'm wondering if that email is to see which students do not need to be on the waitlist any longer as they have accepted other schools which then means the next list of students can be selected. That's just my thought process, though, I could be wrong.
  11. @Hopeful46 typically we've been told students wait 2-3 semesters after they apply and your first semester does not count. For example you applied August 2018 which is Fall 2018 semester. You do not count that semester. Spring 2019 your wait began which is semester 1, Fall 2019 is semester 2, Spring 2020 is semester 3, so maybe you might start Fall 2020. Please do not quote me on this and I don't want you to get your hopes up without asking staff yourself. Try asking staff what your chances are for starting Fall 2020. You may start sooner or later but always ask. Once you are added on the waitlist you only move up the list and no one is being added before you. I know that staff doesn't always answer, but keep calling and politely ask to check your status. I find they don't answer phone calls in the summer so try calling again during Fall semester (end of August-start of September).
  12. Hello all I emailed Roshell about when I would start the program (I applied in May 2018) and she replied and told me that Angel will be reaching out to students to start in Spring 2020 in SEPTEMBER. If I don't hear from Angel then Roshell told me to email her back. I'm not sure if Angel will reach out to students after the letters are sent out via mail. Does anyone know if Angel reaches out via email or phone call??? If anyone gets an email or phone call from Angel that would be helpful. I'm always confused as to how Angel communicates with us since I'm not very successful with emailing her. She's probably too busy to respond to/read emails which is why I'm curious. Any info would help us out. Keep hanging on guys!
  13. I applied May 2018 and was told I'd start Fall 2020. Could be sooner for Spring 2020 depending on how many applicants reject their spot maybe. Let us know when you get your acceptance letter! Excited for everyone!!
  14. Hi all, Glad to see a new thread for this school. I applied May 31, 2018. I was told my start date would be Fall 2020 according to whoever answers the phone. The staff at the nursing department says sometimes when enough students reject and depending which applicant applied earlier than you and the amount of students needed to fill the cohort you can start sooner than your "expected" start date. I keep hoping and praying I will start Spring 2020. Best of luck to those who applied in February and March 2018 because you should be getting acceptance letters this August. Who ever accepts or rejects their spot would be helpful to know, if you can post on here whether you've accepted/rejected your Spring 2020 seat. I too do not have the best grades (I'm talking mostly B's) and am thankful this school is an option. Hopefully you all get your letters soon! P.S. I keep calling the office and I've emailed Angel this month but no one answers/she doesn't respond to my email(s). Maybe they're on summer break? Nonetheless I am trying to be patient. I still apply to other community colleges however I get rejected every time. It's not that my grades aren't competitive, but it's because the rank or lottery system is a number game and means I have to keep trying. I do not want to give up! xoxo
