Any news from anyone this week?

Emory RN Residency Winter/Spring 2018
I was contacted by telephone as well. Both units I interviewed for were ICUs, one at Midtown and one at EUH. I chose the Midtown location. I was honestly surprised to hear back so quickly.

What units did you interview for? I've heard from friends who interviewed for past years' residencies that some of their locations do take longer to extend offers than others!

GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017
Hey, amitch32! I haven't been as active on here as usual. Took a long break after this LONG semester ended :) I did not take the GRE so I am not sure. I think the minimum was closer to a 300-305 for most of my fellow classmates. I took the MAT only because I did not want to spend the money on the GRE.

GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017
Thank you!! Not finished with finals quite yet. We had our Epidemiology/Biostatistics final at the end of last week, and we took the final for Fundamentals of Nursing yesterday. We take our Pathophysiology final Thursday. This semester was a lot of fun, but the learning curve of a graduate level program with graduate level expectations for written work and exams takes some getting used to. I'm here to answer any questions y'all may have though!

Two bachelors to Masters CNL Georgia Regents
The program has close to 100% employment rate post graduation; I am not sure where the previous poster obtained the information proving BSN prepared nurses are given employment preference over entry level MSN prepared nurses. I start this program in August, and after doing extensive and very thorough research, it was the best option for me. I have a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and was originally pre-med. It seemed silly to use financial aid to pay for a second bachelor's, so I chose a masters program that would put me on the right track to eventually get my doctorate in acute care or anesthesia. Only you know what works with your circumstances and end goals. As far as I know, employment opportunities are plentiful for new graduates of the program.

GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions
You'll hear from them soon, Brennabubble! My interview was January 15, and I heard back around February 4. I completely understand the waiting craze. Fortunately I'm working full time and finishing up two prerequisites so I didn't have quite so much time to worry as I could have.

Well the thread got taken down last time someone gave insight about the interview. Just be yourself and relax. It's short and sweet.

GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions
Amarch14- Not sure for this year, but in past years they sent out letters at the very end of the cycle (June/July) to those who were not accepted. Most people seemed to be wait listed first. When did you send in your application and did you get an email from GRU confirming they received it?

GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions
Amarch14- As far as I know, and from checking out the threads for past application cycles, you have to be interviewed to be considered for acceptance. However, the interviews continued into late March in previous cycles. So I wouldn't give up hope just yet! Especially when the possibility is very real that someone could give up their spot for personal reasons or choosing another school/program. Keep your chin up :) The waiting is the worst part, promise!

Peds vs Med Surg Externship
Coming from a GA resident, an externship at CHOA is nothing to shake a stick at... Especially the PICU.

GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions
Hey- look at what people pay to go to Emory. One semester for a BSN is like 20k and it's a 3 year program... And that's in-state students too.
