Pearson Vue Trick: Is it accurate? Do you know anyone who paid using their CC and passed?
Littlemissparis, I took my Nclex for the first time back in November of 2015. I had all 265 questions as well and when I did the PVT I was scared to submit it because if it did in fact take my $200 i was going to be devastated. So I just waited impatiently for those 48 hours for the quick results and sure enough I failed. Recently I took the exam again January 26,2016; I had 75 questions this time and about 25 SATA questions I was sure enough I passed this time. I went home and did the PVT and typed in all my credit card info and hit submit and got the "good pop up". And waited again for the quick results and I passed. Not saying it's the best indicator but I would have to agree that it's a glitch in Pearson vue's system and its seems to be pretty accurate. I wish you all the best either pass or fail! Good luck

NCLEX RN Advice
So took my Nclex around 11:30am in New York. Finished in about an hour and 45 minutes later with about 25 SATA questions, tons of priority questions and one exhibit question. Felt very confident this time around. I also the PVT and got the "good pop" everyone talks about. Ofcourse I'm going to still wait for my quick results in 48 hours but, atleast I can say this time around I think I passed!

Haha thank you! I think you're absolutely right. Especially when I took it the first time around I focused so much on studying and doing Kaplan questions everyday plus wrote down every rationale for the questions I got wrong. It was mentally and physically exhausting just being focused on one thing and not being able to enjoy myself or give myself free time before my Nclex. This time I had a different approach and I hope it works out well for me! I'll keep you postedí ½í¸‰

Passed with Hurst review (study tips, discount info included)
This post gives me hope for a second time test taker. I've watched all the videos twice since early December being that I scheduled my exam for January 5th and panicked. Now I've been doing my hurst Q reviews and for the first three I got a 73,70,81. I also try to do 3 chapters a day from Lacharity(PDA), and here and there I'll do some questions from Nclex 400 or if I'm out and about I'll use my Nclex RN mastery app. My Nclex is scheduled for Tuesday January 26th. I pray that I can do it this time around! Thanks for your words of encouragement. NjRN_1004

Hey maxRNbostonBSN, I've been sticking to hurst review for now and seem to be doing well with that and doing some questions from Nclex 4000 here and there. I also use Lacharity (PDA) which I hear good things from most people. And for the rest of my week I'm going to finish up with the rest of my Hurst Q review questions I have 3 more left and do the last three Kaplan question trainers along with what I have left in the Lacharity book. I think my first time around was all my tension and just being so focused to pass the first time with 75 questions. I may have been lacking content. My Pearson review report was near passing for most except one that I was above passing standard, I can't remember exactly which. But even as I study and try to pin point my strengths and weaknesses it's hard to tell, for example physiological integrity or health promotion and maintenance I'll vary day to day. One day I'm doing better in one part and the next vice versa. I appreciate your concern and I feel more confident this time around but then at the same time I don't and I mean who doesn't feel confident going into that exam.

NCLEX RN Advice
Hey so I just want some advice from previous test takers who had passed. I finished my associates back in August 2015 and scheduled my nclex for November 12,2015. During the course of finishing up school it was mandatory to do the hurst review at my school and Kaplan as well. I gave myself about a month of studying prior to my exam which I used questions mainly from the Kaplan q-banks and all of the questions trainers (I can't tell you off the top of my head what my average was) but they were fairly decent. I would literally review all the rationales right and wrong and actually got a notebook to write down the rationales I've gotten wrong. I attempted to used the PDA lacharity book but only did about the first 8 chapters. So long story short it came down to the test date and woke up around 6am for a 8am exam and had to be there for 7:30am, I barely got sleep the night before and attempted to eat a well balanced breakfast. My anxiety that morning was beyond crazy which I'm sure we've all been through taking the Nclex-RN. Five and half hours later and there I was on question 265. At that point I just couldn't wait til I got out of that room worst experience of my life especially not knowing if I'd had pass or not. So here I am going for my second attempt, I had originally scheduled it for January 5th,2016 but with the holidays and the new year I got side tracked with studying and then pushed it back again til 15th of January. About a week ago I started to freak out I wasn't doing as many questions from Kaplan because I had used all of my Q-banks and didn't want to see repeated questions because I felt like I was memorizing them. So I rescheduled it again for the 26th of January. I know call me crazy but I've literally watched every hurst review video now and I feel confident and so far on my first two Hurst Q reviews I got a 73 and 70, still got 4 more to go and have been keeping up with the PDA book attempting to do at least 2 chapters a day since last week. I'm also going to repeat the last 3 of my Kaplan trainers and have been incorporating at least 50 questions a day from my nclex 4000. I just don't know if I'm setting myself up for failure again or if I'm doing too much these past two weeks. So if anyone has any suggestions or can help me give me some type of guidance I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry for my lengthy cry for help! 😩
