  1. Wow! All A's?!? Good for you. That's great! I'll let you get thru Finals before I ask more questions. Thank you for the shoe info. Good luck with your last 2 exams!
  2. Thank you so much for providing all the info! Would you mind telling me what shoes you purchased for clinicals? I hope you're doing well in the program.
  3. Thank you! Congrats to you too.
  4. By waiting to purchase your stethoscope you might be able to pick one up on sale after the holiday. I have a Littman stethoscope but not the cardiology III. Physicians that I've worked with have had them so I've used them and the acoustic quality in the III is much better for sure. I'm so used to mine so I will probably stick with it and see if I need much more once we're in clinic. Also, the III is heavy to carry around your neck all day.
  5. Hamilton's Unifoms has two locations to pick from for us. They have a website that you can check out. Harbour Plaza - Ft. Myers 17660 S. Tamiami Trail #106 Phone 239.415.9099 Port Charlotte 3762-H Tamiami Trail Phone 941.629.6868
  6. Regarding the clinicals for first semester, I spoke to Wendy at Charlotte and she told me it would be one of the two days not both. She also told me the person in charge of clinical scheduling would be assigning the day to each student. I thought maybe after registering, you might have received notification on which of the two days you were assigned. I think it's either Tuesday or Friday. They might be waiting until the second half of students, myself included, have signed up for classes. I also saw the reference to "prior scrubs" and the only thing I can think of is that I know of past students that purchased used scrubs from previous students. I'm thinking the school is letting us know that we can still use the old scrubs if we got them from previous students.
  7. I'm happy for you that they're in good condition. I'm also very particular about my books and never write in them so I can appreciate what you're saying. I will need to look at eBay. Last semester the girls posted on this site that Hamilton's gave them a discount on scrubs. I hope that's still the case. Do you happen to know what day you will have clinicals?
  8. Thanks for the info! I will check eBay along with other sites. How exciting!!!
  9. Yay!!! That's great! If you don't mind, would you let me know where you got them, Amazon? Thanks.
  10. That's great! You're well on your way. Have you purchased books yet? I will be much more relaxed once I'm registered for my classes, purchased books, and ordered uniforms.
  11. Not yet. I'm going tomorrow.
  12. I'm in Pine Island which is not close enough to carpool together or I would have loved to. How are you coming along with your shots and other requirements? I went to Lee Memorial for the PPD (TB) test and TDAP vaccine a week ago Friday and then back on the following Monday for the PPD read and Health Report which is not exactly a physical but more like clearance on the items noted on the form and confirmation that you meet the vaccination requirements.
  13. I'm still not able to. I'm part of the second batch that's waiting for the major to be updated to ASRN before I can. I will be paying for it out of pocket too! ugh...Have you been to the campus? I have not.
  14. Congrats on getting accepted into the Charlotte Spring program. I did as well. I'm very excited and anxious to start! Have you been able to sign up up for classes yet?
  15. Thank you lilnurse2015 for sharing your experience in the program. I was accepted into the Spring 2016 program at Charlotte. I'm looking forward to starting soon! Congratulations to you too for making it in. It seems like you're happy with the program.
