  1. Hello, I hope you are well. I'm not sure if you were able to transfer from US to UAE. May you please share if so. I was planning to do the same with my family. Im curious to know if they would accept NCLEX exam. Which one is better Sharjah, DXB or Abu Dhabi? What is the working hrs in a hospital is it also 36hrs (12hrs per shift?), patient ratio. Any tips or advises please that you can share or knowledge which you wish you knew before transferring? Thank you very much.
  2. Hi, I wanted to know if anyone has tried or think of moving from the US to Dubai? Will we require another exam to qualify working in Dubai? Are we allowed to bring our family? Or are there hospital that can sponsor visa to our dependents?
  3. Sure!! =) I'll be more than happy to do that! At least I have a new found friend with the same scenario as mine. And yey! lets help each other out.. Here's my email address: [email protected] Thanks.
  4. I don't have any "close" friends nor relatives there. But my officemate here in the middle East will be going to Sydney this year, she's just waiting for the reply of the University. I wanted to go to Sydney or if not in Victoria. I am planning to take IELTS in April. And after completing the IELTS i would like to proceed with my application, same with you I am looking for a good school that offers Bridging programs since as you may see the tuition fees are SOO costly. hehehe And wanted to be there soo badly before the year ends =( Hope we can find the schools offering the bridging programs without the need for rn work experience.
  5. Hi Sugarush1, https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/new-grad-filipino-501897.html I found this thread here in the forum, read the same it's helpful. Though, I'm still looking for the list of the accredited schools who are offering Bridging programs in Australia as the post was made last 2010. BY the way, do you have a specific place in Australia you wanted to enroll yourself in? Do you have relatives there? If i may ask when do you plan to go there? Thanks.
  6. Hi Lorodz, Good day! I came across your response and I would just like to ask please if you know what is the bridging program your fellow Filipino classmates got, without them having the experience as a nurse and being able to get a sponsorship in Australia. I myself is a PLE passer but did not get the chance to work as a nurse in the Philippines, I am currently in Abu Dhabi and wanted to go to Australia in Student Visa but I am confused as to what degree (undergraduate, postgraduate, vocational & etc.) should I enroll myself with since I do not have nurse experience in PI. Hoping to hear from you. Sorry Sugarush1 for following your thread with my inquiry, I hope we will be able to fulfill our dreams and start our journey of becoming a great NURSE.
  7. Thank you very much Mishey2, really appreciate your in depth advice. ^___^ I am considering all the points you mentioned above and outweighing the pros and cons. Hopefully, I will be guided with the right course of action to take.
  8. Hi MikeeMikes26 , thank you for your reply. I hope so too.
  9. Thank you.
  10. Congrats to you lowlyfreelancer
  11. Hi iamjiboy , Can you let us know please where you took those trainings & if you still remember the costs. Thank you.
  12. Thank you very much for your reply Navy wife & Mishey2. I'm in dire need of someone to assist me with my dilemma. Yes, I read that I need to undergo 3months practicum and 1-month didactic training but do you know if the Nursing Act of 2002 is referring for the period of inactivity as 5 years from the time one graduated from Nursing college or inactive for 5 years from the time the Licenses was issued? Also, I need your honest opinion please if it's really worth the risk to continue Nursing. I am so confused whether to stay in the Middle East and apply to become a flight attendant or go home in the Philippines, take refresher course, garner work experience and apply to become a nurse in USA or somewhere else. Your reply on this will be very much appreciated. In my heart I still want to become a nurse, I'm just afraid to take risks.
  13. Thank you very much madwife2002, I'm really interested to get back to nursing and I needed more information how and where to start.
  14. Hi, I would like to know please if its still possible for inactive nurses like me to return to the Philippines and practice nursing. I am currently working in abroad in a non-medical field & I have been inactive for 4 years and 7 months from the time I graduated as a nurse in March 2011. -Does anyone know if I need to take a Refresher course, and where can I accomplish this. Hoping to hear from you fellow nurses. Regards,
