Hello EVERYONE. NICE TO BE BACK AGAIN TO THIS FORUM. I GOT MY GC THRU AOS LAST AUG 2006. MY PRIORTIY DATE BACK THEN IS MAY 6, 2006. :balloons:I LEFT MY FAMILY IN THE PHILIPPINES. NOW THAT RETRO IS TEMPORARILY LIFTED, I CALLED THE US EMBASSY IN MANILA TO ASK THE STATUS OF THE PETITION FOR MY FAMILY. THE PERSON WHOM I SPOKE WITH SAID DS230 RECEIVED AND COMPLETED SEPT 7,2006.MY FAMILY PRIORITY DATE IS SAME AS MINE MAY 6 2006. SHE SAID THAT YOUR ARE IN LINE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY 2007 RELEASE OF INTERVIEW NOTICE FOR SEPT 2007. SHE SAID TO CALL BACK ON JULY 2007 FOR THE EXACT DATE OF INTERVIEW IN SEPTEMBER 2007. BUT THIS IS THE SAME THING SHE TOLD US LAST SEPTEMBER 2006, TO WAIT FOR 90 DAYS FOR CONSULAR INTERVIEW THEN RETRO SETS IN NOV 1, 2006. :angryfire SHE ALSO ADVICE ME NOT TO PAY VISA FEE UNTIL THE DAY OF CONSULAR INTERVIEW. DO YOU THINK SHE IS JUST TELLING A LIE AGAIN? :nono:

Hi Rep, I was told yesterday that instruction payment for the visas for my family is included in POcket 4 which the call center agent told I will receive most probably early december or just before theyre time limit of 120 days w/c falls on Jan 7, 2007. Does it matter if I don't pay right away my family visa fee.?

Hi Suzanne and Rep, I called NVC to inquire about our MNL case but they told me no file there they suggested that I called US Embassy Manila, which I did. I was informed by Manila US embassy that my family papers are line up for interview and just wait for next release in December of Pocket 4. I also inquired if we are affected by retrogression, the person whom I spoke with told me that WE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY RETROGRESSION since we are EX category. I hope he is telling the truth I paid $18 just to talk to this guy( so expensive, no more is free in US embassy in Manila everything is business).

My family was included in the petition my lawyer filed last April 6, 2006 with my petition too as direct beneficiries of an EB immigrant. Any comment?

Hi Rep, Thank you for the quick response? The US embassy in Manila told us not to pay yet the visa processing fee ($480 each )for my family according to call agent I spoke with. I find it strange, since what I am reading in this forum, they paid before Pocket 3? Any comment.Is this the reason that the processing of my family's visa is so slow?

Hello REP and Suzanne, I am already here in the San Jose California, USA. I took the AOS route. My lawyer filed the my and my family papers (my family is still in the Philippines on April 6,2006. Approved I-140 and I-1485 May 6,2006. Got EAD and advance parole also May 6,2006. Got my green last August 18,2006. My family's pocket 3 completed last September 7, 2006 they have same priority date as mine May 6, 2006. Unfortunately my lawyer is charging me another $1000.00 to help us process the papers in US Embassy in Manila, (my lawyer is based in L.A. Ca) but I didn't agree since is was stated in our contract that consular process is included, so to make the story short my lawyer abandoned us, so I am left alone to finished this process. I called US embassy in Manila they told me to wait 4 months(Jan 7,2007) for them to give a concrete answer. My family case number is MNL2006xxx021 EX priority date is May 6, 2006. Is my family affected by retrogression even though I have my green card now? By the way I called NVC they don't have my family file with them.

Hello Maro and Suzanne, my I 140, 485, 131 824 and parole was filed and recieved last April 6 , 2006 at Texas SC although originally I filed it for California SC but somehow it was transfered to Texas SC because of backlog in California SC. Got aprroval for 140, 131 and parole last May 6, 2005., since then I am now working here in California. Last May 1, 2006 I received a letter requesting me to go to Oakland support Center for fingerpinting and biometrics including picture taking for green card. The person who did this told me to wait for my green card in 60 days in the mail but up to now no notice from USCIS or any update in portfolio via email from USCIS. Last update is june 6, 2006. For my family I 824 no notice also. Any inputs why the delay.I used also a lawyer. The laywer just told me to wait. I called the customer service number of UsCIS, but could not give me answer beside what is in the updated notice as of June 6.Thanks for any help and inputs.
