Johns Hopkins BSN - DNP Fall 2018
Hi, Calimurse! I got invited to the interview for the DNP/PhD program just this week! How exciting! I start preparing for the interview and try to figure out what kind of questions DNP program and PhD program might ask separately and organize them together. If you want, perhaps we can help each others on this! (I've sent you a private message through allnurses, not quite sure how it works...) Good luck and hope to see you there!

Johns Hopkins BSN - DNP Fall 2018
Thanks for sharing the information! During the open house, as I remembered they said PhD/DNP application will be reviewed both by PhD committee and DNP committee and they will make the interview at the same day. Therefore, I supposed that candidate might expect at least two rounds of interview by PhD faculty and DNP faculty individually (and perhaps another with both...) Good luck and all the best!

ILA OPI Information
It seems like they always have the exam at the same site (Near University of Maryland, Baltimore County) but that might be changed, I guess. After they receive your fee and application, they will send the confirmation and the exam site will be revealed. So you will have some time to plan your travel :) Hope that help!

ILA OPI Information
I just took the exam. I was quite worried about it since there are not many information online. After the exam, I found out the worry was unnecessary. The process was quite similar to this video: . I didn't feel like I was taking the exam; more like chatting with someone and exchanging our point of view. The questions are not the same as in the video but they all start with the warm-up, level-check (with "hit the ceiling" to check the maximum ability), some vocabulary size exploration and then wrap-up. And I agree to the previous comments that you cannot prepare it; they can ask anything! Just talk more; watch more TV shows/movies; be relaxed! Good luck, everyone!

Foreign-educated nurse with NY license and would like to apply for CT license
Hello, everyone! I am a foreign-educated nurse and got my NY license last year (since I don't have the SSN that moment). And I need the CT license this year. Just have some troubles when viewing the webpage... What to know if anyone has gone through the similar process! It said the foreign-educated nurse should arrange for verification of certification by the CGFNS International. Because NY state needs only the credential evaluation, I didn't take the CGFNS exam before taking NCLEX. Does this mean I need to take the CGFNS exam (CGFNS Certification Program® | CGFNS International, Inc. | Global Credibility ) Or I can provide other kind of the Credentials Evaluation from CGFNS? Thanks in advance!!

if I can confirm I pass...
Thanks everyone! The quick results was out more than 48hr. And I spent 7.95USD for rechecking if I really passed! The reason why I doubted about it is because I got a break after answering question No. 73. After I came back, I misunderstood the word in one option "apprehension" and then the exam ended in No. 75. The last two questions were multiple-choice quesitons and they didn't seem difficult... (priority question) This made me very paranoid but it turned out to be a good result. I guess every question mattered, not the last two. Thanks everyone for your answer and I hope everyone can pass the exam!

if I can confirm I pass...
Hello everyone! After I took my NCLEX on 26th of October, I was sure I didn't pass the exam since I misread the last two questions and more than half of Qs I remembered it seemed like I got them wrong... still I couldn't help to refresh the webpage of quick result and also the License Information from NY BON. I just found out my license number from NY BON but the quick result is still unavailable! Wondering if this means I really passed the NCLEX!!!!? I hope I don't sound too paranoid to judge the finding... This is the website I check for my name, http://www.op.nysed.gov/opsearches.htm Thank you so much in advanced!
