I honestly don't know... I applied to 4 schools and this is the only offer I've gotten so far (waiting to hear back on one other, but I'm going to take Fullerton anyways). Didn't even get interviews at all of the schools. I'd say be willing to branch out because all schools seem to look for something slightly different. Best of luck to you!

Sorry, I've just been creeping on this thread from afar, but I also just received an email about an interview. Very curious what type of interview it will be (clinical vs general personality stuff). Interesting how Daniel's email response from previous in the thread didn't indicate this at all. Congrats on those who have been contacted and good luck to all!

Hey everyone! So this is my first post on allnurses, but I have read many threads from here while going through school! Sorry if this is in the wrong place... I graduated with my associates in nursing last December and passed my nclex in February. I have a job offer at a long term acute care hospital and an interview next week for a MICU position at a level 1 trauma hospital. I am working towards being a CRNA and want to get there as fast as possible which is why this ICU gig would be really awesome. I'm just a little nervous about starting there with absolutely no ICU experience. Both facilities understand that I'm a new grad so I know I'll have lots of training, but they also both have really sick patients to care for... I guess I'm just looking for advice on how to prepare for critical care as a new nurse. Materials to brush up on? Skills to practice? I very much have a go getter personality and want to jump in with both feet and learn. I just feel like even after school I don't really know what I'm doing... thanks for the help! :)
