  1. I agree - focus on practice questions! Reviewing and learning from the mistakes you make is a super effective way to study and improve your areas of weakness without having to review content you already comfortable with!
  2. Unfortunately its a lot harder to find a job as a new grad nurse than most new nurses expect. There are too many nurses looking for work, and not enough new jobs so this causes the number of applications to be higher than they were years ago. On top of that there is more competition of experienced nurses that apply for entry level jobs. Where are you looking for jobs? Just the big job sites? or are you targeting local listings, clinics and classifieds as well? How do you feel about your resume? Making some serious changes ended up really helping me getting noticed by recruiters.

  4. I am in the same boat, combining the studying for the NCLEX with working is really though! The best advice I have received so far is to try to study effectively - Identify your weaknesses and work on improving them rather than trying to study for everything. Have you reviewed your previous 2 attempts? Or maybe practice exams to see what competencies and type of questions are most challenging for you?
