In my opinion, it really depends on the classes. I've taken prerequisite classes online in 3 weeks & it was pretty easy. When it comes to math & science classes it's another story. If you're really good at math then it may be doable. But if you have to drop one it'll cost you more money.

I asked an advisor today & CHM 101 is required prior to applying or a year of chem from high school. You have that plus some which could be why it wasn't mentioned to you. having trouble deciding if I should start a year long lpn program in the fall or take Chem & wait to start the nursing program.

Hmm. So you haven't taken chem 101? Did you take chemistry in high school?

Chemistry is required. I'm retaking it this fall then applying. Although I am thinking of taking a break from the community college and starting an LPN program in the fall.

After this semester I will finally be able to apply to the nursing program. I'm just afraid I won't pass chemistry & will have to retake it in the fall which will put me further behind. Chemistry is harder than I thought & to make matters worse I don't have the most helpful teacher. Also the only opportunity to earn points are on the tests. Does anyone have any tips or websites that really helped you pass chemistry? I would really appreciate it.

What do you mean by 'cleaned up'?

I am currently taking prerequisites for the nursing program at my current university. They calculate cumulative GPA from every college. I am wondering if it's okay to take a few online classes at my old college in hopes of raising my overall GPA. Is this possible or is it crazy? Please let me know.

I am just curious as to what are the main differences between these three. Pros, cons, education, benefits, etc

It took me three tries to pass algebra so I can definitely relate to feeling discouraged. I'm not great at math but I'm good at science. Which is lucky for me because my university only counts the first attempt of the core science classes. Just putting in the study hours actually does make all the difference. Also having a study group does too.

I am a pre nursing student and I am signed up for chemistry, a&p1, int. algebra, poli-sci and world religions for the upcoming spring semester at a community college. I am also planning on signing up for another class at my university that starts halfway through the semester but is really easy. I don't work except babysitting a few times a month and am willing to dedicate all my time to these classes. I find myself a little behind & don't want to waste anymore time. I guess my question is: is this doable? Also, I really struggle with algebra but the class is a prerequisite.
