  1. @SimranDhillon Right now the staff are working very hard on trying to get the new cohort’s schedule situated and the seniors as well. We haven’t received our second term’s schedule yet and it’s starting next week. Last time I heard is that they were working on you guy’s schedule with great clinical sites and decisions if you guys should be coming back to class for lecture or will be using TEAMS. You should be hearing back in a week or two.
  2. @AnonAMoose hello there, lecture is once a week on TEAMS and clinicals were twice a week. One for med-surg and one for mental health at the same time. They give you days that you can choose to go on clinicals but first come first serve. I just heard back from my instructor saying that they are transitioning us to going back to the campus starting April 6th. Nothing is final yet but there’s a high chance that two RN cohorts will be there at the same time but as they say, nothings final due to the severity and changes of COVID. I really liked being online because I lived an hour away but at the same time having that in class experience will be better for learning too. We’re getting a lot of good clinical sites so you guys are coming in at a very good time if you’re coming in April. Hope that answers your questions. Have a wonderful evening.
  3. @PRNnurse hello. It’s an associates degree program and I called WGU and they accept carrington credits! Most online school accepts the associates program from Carrington.
  4. @Jennifer Goodpasture hello. They will let you know at least 3-4 weeks ahead. The next program starts in April and they will call you to let you know if you made it in or didn’t. Please give them time as well because the Director told us last week that there were over 200 applicants so they’re doing their best to see who are the best candidates among those 200. There’s only 24-26 spot available only. It’s a very competitive program so as long as you have 3.7 GPA OR HIGHER, good TEAS score (75 or higher), and at least 1-2 years experience as a LVN, you will be a highly favorable candidate. I hope I was able to answer your questions and good luck!?
  5. @SimranDhillon you have a very high chance of getting in. I just heard from the Director that there is 200 applicants as well that applied so it can be competitive. They also take work experience to an account so if you have more than 2 years of work experience, you’ll likely have a better chance. Good luck. So far, we have got great clinical sites that are finally accepting us to go back to the facility so this is good news for you guys as well.
  6. @ConnieLVN2RN That's great that you got into a program. Where did you get into, if you don't mind me asking? Good luck to the both of us. I pray that we don't go into another lockdown and ultimately slowing us down.
  7. @ConnieLVN2RN Hi Connie, I just heard back from Carrington last week and got accepted to their December 2020 RN program. Have you heard back from them as well? My friend had a 3.6 GPA and was able to get in. Wish you the best of luck.
  8. @ConnieLVN2RN checking up with you, have you heard anything back yet? I don't understand why it is taking this long. My friends from the class of April that are in the RN program couldn't even get into any clinical sites and haven't even got their schedule for next semester which started on Monday. I wonder if they might postponed the students.
  9. @MorganD this is for August start date. Carrington’s credit actually works for MJC, Delta, PUC. You just need to take a few more classes and that’s it.
  10. @MorganD I honestly think that’s a very good GPA to get into any RN program but from what I heard from -------------------(rep from carrington) that the they have been accepting mostly students with 3.7 or higher, 70% in TEAS, and at least two years of experience in LVN. Not to discourage you but try to retake a class to bump up to a 3.7 to be more competitive because most students that I know so far that are applying are coming with a 3.9-4.0. I hope for all of us to get accepted though. Good luck❤️
  11. @ConnieLVN2RN have you heard anything back yet from anyone?
  12. @MorganD hi there, the application process was a lot to take in. It took me a whole month just to get everything together so allow yourself at least 2-4 weeks to actually get everything together or you will be very late to submitting your application. It was very hard for this time around because of COVID, the school was closed and everything was explained through the phone. I messed up three times and got an earful from Toni LOL. Was my fault tho anyways. The application consists of background/drug screen which was $135 and three work vertifications that you have to get it signed off, TEAS scores, physical check, immunization/blood titer results, and many more LOL Make sure to do very well in your classes as you have more chances to get in if you have a very high GPA.
  13. @rmc465 thank you so much for your encouragement. It’s very nerve wrecking waiting to hear back and I for sure bothered ---------------------- so much that she knows me LOL and she even kept me updated letting me know that I completed everything and will hear back soon. I hope for the best for all of us during this rough time. I really just want to get in, do my best and start working???
  14. @ConnieLVN2RN yeah sadly a lot of things are on hold and it’s really upsetting. Let’s keep each other updated when we hear anything back from anyone❤️?
  15. @ConnieLVN2RN girl we got this! Be positive and be proud that we made it this far. I truly think that other school will take us in a heartbeat with our GPA tho. It’s just carrington ? I talked to delta and MJC at Modesto and they accept carrington’s credits so try over there as well. I’m just waiting to hear back so I can move on. I’m planning on applying at PUC in Napa and I believe my chances over there are better. Maybe try there as well. ?
  16. @ConnieLVN2RN if your GPA is good like a 3.7 or higher, you still have a very good chance of getting in. My friends got into the program with a 3.9-4.0 but with a 62% on TEAS score. I hope for both of us to get in. Finger-crossed. I have a 3.7 with 78% on my TEAS so my chances are very slim since they told me that over 100 applicants applied :/ regardless good luck to us LOL?
  17. @ConnieLVN2RN no I haven’t. My rep told me that she will let everyone know regardless acceptance or not. Did you also apply?
  18. @aspiringrn2020 thank you so much for replying. Is the application yearly or twice a year?
  19. @rmc465 thank you so much. Did you had any classmates that got in with a 3.7 GPA?
  20. Hi everyone, I'm looking into applying at PUC and was wondering if they accept Carrington's credits. I noticed that I still need to take a nutrition class but am I'm able to take that class during or prior to the program or do I have to have the pre-rep done first? What are my chances with a 3.7 GPA, 78% TEAS score and 2 years for LVN experience? Any information will greatly help me. Thank you.
  21. have you attended the program at Carrington. I'm in the process of them accepting or denying me for their bridge program. I hope to get in. finger crossed***
  22. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has applied for Carrington LVN-RN program for August 2020 and will like to see if they are also waiting to see if they got accepted? It's so nerve-wreking as it's the only college I applied so far. I'm also looking into PUC in Napa as well. What other colleges have you guys applied to as well that also accepts Carrington's credits? Hope to talk to some people that is in the same boat with me.
  23. @Firefly1009 For the entrance, I used the ATI practice test directly from their site because they also will send you a study brooklet if you buy their practice exams. The booklet really helped out a lot and was very informational. I scored a 78. My friend also used the book " TEAS for Dummies" book and she scored very well too. Maybe that will help?
  24. Yes it's still in business. I heard good stories about this program. It is accredited in California. You can check in the state gov page as well.
  25. Hi everyone. I graduated as an LVN in 2017 and now is working the job the I've always wanted but something inside of me is hungry for more knowledge and education. I decided that since I don't have any children yet, maybe this is the best time to go back to school. I decided to look into Carrington college in Sacramento. Unfortunately, I went to a private college for my LVN so the prereps that I took there cannot be transfer over so Carrington is having me do their VND program, which is 16 months long and then I can bridge to the RN program if I keep up with my GPA. Their requirement is to pass the teas test with a 62% or higher and Have 3.0 or higher. The admission rep told me that I should focus on my GPA more because or the best GPA will get considered into the program. My friend that took their prereps there had a 3.5 GPA and did exceptionally well on her TEAS test but still couldn't get in. I believe she told me that they only accept 21-24 student per term. But the good thing about taking their prereps is that you can apply to any other RN program like junior colleges or universities. The whole prereps program cost about 22,000 and their RN program is about 37,000. In total about 58,000. Anyone that attended their VND program have any tips on getting that 3.8-4.0 GPA? I work full-time night shift so do you think I will be able to do it? I'm scare and nervous at the same time. Any tips and information about their VND program, please let me know. Thank you.
